how long does it usually take to charge on a fully discharged battery?

Charging Time: About three hours. Playtime: Music Playtime is up to 15 hours (Varies by volume level and music content). Volume Level around 60%-100%, playtime would last for 4-8 hours around, please keep the speaker at least 10-15 feet away from you for the protection of your hearings. For longer playtime, it’s better to raise volume level from your cellphone end but keep the volume level from the speaker a little lower (around 35%-60%) for daily use, it would last 8-15 hours.

Noticed in a review that the speaker "sleeps" after 15 min. Is there a firmware file that can take off this feature if you dont want it to shut off?

The speaker will automatically power off (Energy Saving Sleep Mode Design) if not paring with any Bluetooth device in 15 minutes after you power it on or disconnect it from a Bluetooth device. Just press the power button to reboot it when you need it, please kindly note there is no voice or gesture wake up design yet. Once you’ve paired it with a Bluetooth device and always keep your device within Bluetooth Transmit Range(up to 20m/66ft in open field, up to 10m/33ft indoors, better no solid obstacles such as brick, concrete, or metal wall), it won’t go to sleep mode, please do remember to turn it off to save battery for future use.
