Does this beret contain wool?

I would venture to guess they are 100% wool. There's no tag inside describing the material. I can wear wool-blend sweaters with no issue, but these were irritating to my forehead and scalp, and I've never been able to wear them. If you're sensitive to wool, I'd give them a pass.

Is this thin? Almost like felt?

It is thin, about the thickness of a quarter (US monetary unit). Feels like felted wool, and keeps you quite warm.

Is the white one actually white or ivory?

Granted there are many shades of white, but the hat is definitely white as opposed to ivory.
