Isle Of Dogs Chill Out Soft Chew Dog Treat, 7-Ounce

Outstanding product - my 10 pound dog absolutely calms down with just half of one of these treats. I've heard from my vet that these treats don't always work the same way in all dogs. But I honestly say it is the only calming treat my dog is given and it comes at a reasonable price (not priced like medication). I hope Isle of Dogs continues to make this product and keeps it at this price. It is very helpful for dogs with anxiety and hyperactivity. Sometimes it seems to disappear on store shelves when their other products are still there - hoping Amazon will never stop carrying it. Thank you Isle of Dogs for a reliable product.

My dogs liked these because they were soft, but the effectiveness was not like the biscuit version. I spent more money on bags of these than I do the other ones. It took 6 to chill them out. Granted, my dogs are bird dogs, so calming them down is a chore off season. These just didn't do the job.

I remember ordering these over the last few years and having my various dogs love them, but I ordered about six packs recently, and they all feel incredibly hard! Perhaps dry. I very specifically was looking for soft treats for a new pup and remembered these as being very soft, so I am personally feeling a bit let down by what I received. Again, in the past, these were soft, so barring a recipe change, I wish you better luck!

My Ridgeback and Akita love these. It is not extremely effective but it does help take the edge off. I use with Rescue Remedy at times when things are bad like consecutive rainy days or being left alone. I rather or the pups rather this soft chew than the crunchy cookie.

We haven't yet tried the soft & chewy version of these (though the treat bowl is getting low), but flaxseed is always a good idea. And I love that these treats are wheat free--as my girl has allergies that just won't go away. While the original (crunchy) version has barley and oats, the soft and chewy version has potatoes and barley to make a healthy base. None of the apples and carrots that my dog loves in the original (crunchy) version are here, though there are added nutrients (like calcium and zinc). The lavender and lemon balm--found in both the original (crunchy) and soft versions--do seem to help her stay calm, especially when we have to go on a long trip. All in all, I expect my girl to run to her pillow for these treats, like usual!

Do not like the moist chillouts. My dogs could eat the cookie chillouts and no stomach problems, I have one that on a strict diet and I could use the cookie version of the chillouts not the moist to calm her during fire works etc. But these just give her an upset stomach and diarrhea. Not the name by any means, but I imagine cheaper to make.

As they say, "your mileage may vary." I found another product here that works better for my two dogs.

I like these. I give my Aussie/Great dane about 4 of these chews at night to help him calm down as he is only 8 mos old and it takes about an hour to work, but then I can tell he gets calmer. He isn't like a zombie or anything but it does slow him down a bit which is what I was looking for. I will be ordering more today. I like they are natural and made in the USA. No china crap.
