Could there be worn kayaking ? I have a nasty bruise and want to protect the area

I use these for ice skating and are very protective. If you do decide to use this for kayaking hang them up to dry. They do dry overnight or at least for my activity, LOL.

Are these suppose to have holes within the inside material?? Wore them once then after washed noticed four openings/holes in inside material1? Normal?
