I liked these clippers but found the curve of the jaw too aggressive. I could cut the nail about a third of the way from either side, but could not cut the middle of my big toenail reasonably. My best efforts caused the points of the jaw to separate the nail from the finger tip flesh. If I used them less determinedly, I still had a half-moon of long nail in the middle of my big toe. I tried to cut the nail halfway through from each side and gave myself a hangnail when the edge of the curve separated the edge of the nail from the nail bed like a knife. These are crazy sharp, and as a result, they cut whatever they touch first. I had not realised that duller clippers give you some ability to adjust during the cut. Once I got used to being very precise about lining them up, they cut cleanly and easily through anything. I like to use my clippers to trim my toe tip calluses. These are way too sharp for that. They will cut live flesh as easily as dead skin. So, so sharp. I'm torn, because I found these unusable, but of extremely high quality and perfectly functional. I use them now to trim my dogs' nails.

These clippers are strong and very sharp.

It was very hard to nigh impossible to trim my fungus infected nails; the drug store clippers would only partially work on the edges of the nail and then only after a long soaking in a foot bath. Further in they would compress without cutting the nail and they wouldn't even fit over the middle of the nail. So I was eager to try my new Kohm clippers when they arrived. What a joy to use! They easily fit over the middle of the nail; in fact they would have accommodated a much larger nail. And cut through it with relatively little and that was without even soaking the nail first. These clippers are super sharp. I did manage to cut too deeply and draw some blood, but that was my fault, not the clippers. I'll adjust my cutting technique as I learn to use them properly. You would be hard pressed to find better clippers for this modest price. Of course only time will tell, but they seem sturdy and I expect them to last a long time..

Very effective but a bit loosely put together.

I've purchased a lot of clippers over the years (I'm over 60), and these are the best clippers I've ever used. After 3 years (I was using them this morning thinking how wonderful they are, and decided I should put it overview on Amazon), they are sharp like new. They are used for two adults (fingernails and toenails) and three cats. They open widely enough that it's easy to do the cats' nails. I don't remember what I paid, but its been a purchase well with whatever price in ease of use, durability, and for what it's worth, style. Two well manicured thumbs up (8, if you include the Spouse and the cats).

I have been using free nail clippers for years and developed one thickened toe nail which was too thick for my "cheapie" nail clipper. I did a fair amount of research and settled on the KOHM clipper. This seems solidly built and accommodates and cuts all nails (within reason) with ease. Compared to previous clippers I have used, this KOHM is a real pleasure to use. Highly recommend!!

Well made and very effective. Old people toenails are no match for these clippers. Caution advised because they are extremely sharp and whatever you clamp them on is going to get cut. That said, compared to the usual flimsy junk cutters these are the premium thing.

Design, assembly, appearance, quality, finish, sharpness, efficiency ("mechanical advantage") and everything else that matters in a toenail and fingernail clipper is as close to perfection as possible. This is the best nail clipper I have ever used in all my 77 years of roaming this planet. As a senior engineer, I naturally evaluate items like this a bit differently than most people. And so, when I say the Kohm CP-120L clipper is incredible, that means something. I'm just sorry I waited so long to purchase clippers of this superb quality. It is now 2 full years since I purchased these clippers, and I still marvel at how well it works. I've read what a few people have said about how easy it is to cut yourself with them. I guess they're right......if you're foolish enough to blindly jam your fingers or toes under its jaws without regard to where your nail ends and skin begins. But I always take my time to FEEL what's going on. And in all this time, even now at 79, I have not once injured myself. The only thing I do regret is not having this wonderful instrument for the many decades previous to discovering it on Amazon.

Dies ist die erste gute Nagelzange, die auch dicke Nägel mit geringem Kraftaufwand schneidet. Wer vorsichtig ist, kann die Nägel auch extrem kurz schneiden. Lange nach so etwas gesucht und jetzt nach Jahren endlich fündig geworden. Brauche nun nicht mehr weiter zu suchen!

My toenails are really thick as I'm sixty two , but I persevered with ordinary , store bought , generic nail clippers you can get virtually anywhere until I stubbed my big toe on a slightly elevated concrete slab . We all know what that feels like , right ? You stub it so hard that it doesn't hurt straight away but when the pain comes it comes in a big wave . It lasted about ten minutes until it eventually subsided . The toenail turned black a few days later but it didn't fall off and another one grew underneath , so I was left with trying to trim two toenails a little over a millimetre thick and the store bought clippers couldn't handle it . These Kohn STEEL clippers went through the nail like a hot knife through butter . Thoroughly recommend . Far superior to anything I've used in the past .
