Roof Dog Cage Crate Kennel Heavy Duty Large Homestead Serise for Large Dogs with Patent Lock, Tray and Four Lockable Wheels, 42''/Black

I ordered this 46” crate for my almost 100 LB dog. I’ve had dogs all my life but never with anxiety! He tore up our last crate and was able to take his thunder vest off inside his crate even after having his prescription meds. (A completely different crate). The new crate reached me late Monday afternoon...Box wasn’t damaged but bolts and nuts were missing and basically all over the place. There was a piece completely broken off, the opposing piece was close to be broken/ a corner was badly damaged which affects the top hinge from closing properly. The stated door measurements are listed as 26.4” x 18.1”....the “actual” door is 20 7/8” x 17 3/4”. A “big” difference in height for my “big” dog....I worked for years at Lowe’s in hardware and tools. I have always been able to do things around our house including electrical and plumbing (having a spouse that’s traveled all my married life, you learn how to do a lot) so putting this together wasn’t difficult although their enclosed instruction sheet sucked. For people who aren’t familiar with things like this, it will be more difficult...in their description it states that one can put it together in about 8 minutes. Not so when pieces and parts are missing and the frame is damaged and bent. I did a “test run” with what I had. The bent corner affects the top latch/ doesn’t want to go down all the way. I have sent a message to Seller & Amazon...I will update when I get something done...the tubing is not solid/ I “think” I saw a review where someone thought it was. Overall I think this crate will hold up but I do question whether my dog will want to go thru such a small opening that’s over 5” shorter than what we have and what was listed....the seller needs to correct/update these measurements... I like the inside size of the crate/ it is bronze in color and not black/ that didn’t matter to me/ I needed a more secure enclosure for my dog. For the price, I don’t think it’s bad. The one crate that I really wanted was over $1,000...this was one reason I ordered this one to “try”. I hope it works and hope I get something worked out with the missing and damaged parts. UPDATE: there were many messages exchanged but ultimately they refunded the whole amount that I paid. So I changed my rating from a 3 star to a 5....I honestly believe this is a decent crate especially for a dog with anxiety!!! If the company could figure out a better way of shipping this crate to prevent damage upon arrival, it would be great! To receive it undamaged and with all the parts!! I really want to try this crate and do need one for my huge dog with major anxiety...many commented about the bottom not being solid. The bottom is railing but appears to be close enough together not to present a problem unless your dog’s paws were tiny. It would be easy enough to use a pad over it or a bed. In their description they list the trays as metal in one sentence and plastic in another...they are plastic...If you really need a crate for a high anxiety dog, I believe this is a good choice...you can take your chances of receiving it in good shape with everything enclosed or at least the seller will make it right.

Very solid product. You need some mechanical skill to assemble but it does go together fairly easy. It took me 20 minutes to fully assemble. I was concerned from other feedback that there was a possibility of missing parts due the size and weight of the box but my box arrived in good shape no missing parts. The box is 98 lbs. The only improvement or concern I have is the size of the door. I have a dog with storm and separation anxiety so getting him into the cage was very difficult. He is 65 lbs and if he does not go in on his own it is very hard to get him in with the door size. However after spending some time in the cage he has gotten use to it and will now go in without help. Overall I gave this a 5 Star rating as it is a very solid and mobile cage that has provided an escape proof environment for my dog when we leave the house.

This is the second one of these kennels we have gotten and they are the most durable. However, they are always damaged but still usable. Last night when I was putting together the most recent one we purchased the walls actually did not even line up to put the screws in. There is no one to call, there are no real instructions. You just have to hope it shows up with everything and goes together properly. I am going to give some additional feedback to the seller but this is shipped from the US so it is not as if I waited for it to come from China.

Quality of material is good & sturdy. Very roomy, excellent for a growing puppy of large breeds. Disappointed with the packaging, box was damaged when delivered, product was very poorly packed and several walls of the crate were dented. With these dents, it created difficulty aligning the prefabricated holes and inserting the screws, some of which were not able to be placed. In addition, no instructions were provided, but manageable assembling by 1 person, but highly recommend 2 person assembly. Expected more for the price, for these reasons I give it 3 stars.

Box was delivered in tact. All the pieces were included with a few extra screws. However there were some loose in the box as others stated. It seems extremely sturdy. I will update my review after my crate hating, escape artist dog feels comfortable going into it.

I hesitate calling this a crate because it really is a handsome dog house. I ordered the 46" peaked roof model, and I call it a den! It's bigger than necessary for my dog, but he's able to move around freely, play with toys, change snoozing positions, and completely stretch out without bumping into walls or ceiling. Assembly is simple, and once put together, this den is strong and (with wheels attached) is easy to move around. The roof door is a nice access feature, and the bottom trays are great for new puppies still in training. With a nice mat or bed (easy to find ones with the same dimensions), my dog is very happy with his 5-star accommodations! Seller is easy to work with and responds very quickly to questions or concerns. The crate had some shipping damage, but the seller corrected all problems to my complete satisfaction.

Very heavy and solid kennel. My 120 pound Italian Mastiff had torn up every other cage like going through butter but this one works great!! 😁 It is pretty heavy 100+ lbs so when it was delivered the box was damaged but the product was completely fine and in tact except it was missing some bolts and nuts that fell out. I thought it might be a hassle and was concerned I had to return the whole thing but I contacted the seller and they replied almost immediately and shipped me a completely new set of nuts and bolts and everything I needed to get it assembled. And it comes partially assembled so it was very very easy. I'm extremely pleased with this product and very happy I purchased it. My pup also seems to enjoy it greatly and it's a safe place for him. Oh, the latches on it are much better than others that I've had... here you can actually put a padlock on it to make sure that your pet cannot bump it or jar it loose. Thank you to the seller.
