It can be an ideal gift to yourself and to your loved ones. Care instruction keep away from fire. Review: Useful! - I found this book really useful. As the title suggests the book is full of objective questions from English literature. Besides that, it also offers short summaries of the main events that characterize the history of English literature. It covers comprehensively the literary ages from the Age of Chaucer to The Modern Age, then major literary schools and movements, poetry and its major forms, drama and is major forms, prose and its major forms, novels and its major forms, literary theories and major schools of literary criticism, rhetoric and prosody and figures of speech. Considering the low price, the book is really good. It helps you to revise your knowledge. However, you cannot solely rely on this book to pass the NET. It helps you brush up your basic knowledge of English Literature. Review: Helpful for competitive exams - An Objective History of English Literature through Multiple Choice Questions is a really good book and very helpful for competitive exams like PGT, TGT, UGC NET, SET, etc. It covers a wide range of topics and is divided into sections, which makes it easy for learners to study each topic in an organized way. I feel that they could have added more information in some topics, especially in Section 2 (Literary Schools and Movements). However, for basics and for beginners like me, this book is truly incredible. The author (Dr. B.B Jain) have done an amazing job. Overall, the book was worth buying and I’m happy with my purchase.

It's useful.
This book is great for entrance purpose as at one place we get list of works of the authors also the age which they belong to... and then there is MCQ with answers in every chapter which makes it perfect for practise. Kind of brief knowledge and revision to all your thick books.

Compilation of the works of all major literary artists in one single book.
It’s a good book , basically it sums up every writer , poet and novelist’s works and DOES NOT CONTAIN ANY SUMMARY or anything... but just compiles all the literary work which is important so that we know who wrote what and when. So it DOES NOT CONTAIN DETAILS but is great for just a slight idea about the widely scattered literature written. Must buy for organised study material.
