Post Fishing Trip Opinion
The magnets are very powerful and like nearly every other magnetic net holder that uses neodymium magnets, they are inherently fragile. I put a layer of aqua seal on each magnet face and let them dry for a couple of days. It definitely minimized the impact when they connected. However, if they sat for a couple of days it became very difficult to pull them apart. I ended up dabbing a little canola oil on each surface and they performed beautifully. They still held my 17x22 Frabil net easily However, after a week of river fishing The aqua seal eventually peeled off. I didn’t think that was possible because the stuff is tough but it did. I may try two or three layers of duct tape on each magnet face and see if that last. It is just to prolong the inevitable breakage of the magnets due to repeated collisions of the magnets. Either way, they are a great value for a two pack. The lanyard stretches probably 10 or 12 feet. On several occasions I reached for my net only to discover that it was trolling in the current downstream so I just yanked on the lanyard and retrieved it. It’s saved my pliers as well. I didn’t use all of the hardware because I wanted to minimize failure points. One thing to note is that this lanyard set-up comes in a cool little Ziploc style bag with a weak aluminum carabiner. Perfect for a fishing license, right? Wrong! I discovered that they are 100% NOT waterproof. Some states make waterproof fishing licenses but when you fish out of state with a printed off license it will get soaking wet. It happened with 2 cases so it’s not an isolated incident. If you put your phone in there, you’re crazy! You heard it here. Overall I’m happy with the performance and value.

Overall good but weak hook.
carabiner hook broke toward the end of the first day. I replaced it and other than that it was good. The magnet is super strong and held my fishing net all day.

Great product
Great product! I use this a ton and it’s held up so super well! I easily put 100-150 days a year on the water and my gear always takes a beating so I’m super happy with these. I’ll buy more in the future for sure.

Have not used on the water yet but expect it to work fine. Hooks add unnecessary length I attached directly to the small split rings & will use elsewhere. Magnet holds well, releases with a pull & re-attaches very easy.

Net Holder
The Dicero Magnetic Net Release Holder with Heavy Duty Coiled Lanyard is exactly what I was looking for. I did not want something too bulky that would get tangled up with my gear. It works perfect.
