BRIGHTLINES Crossbars Roof Racks Cross Bars Replacement for 2007-2011 Honda CRV

The bar seems sturdy so far after a few days of use. However, the installation instruction is easy to follow but had to adjust mounting to screw it down. In general, it is a good product.

Fits PERFECTLY on my 2011 honda crv. Super super easy installation, it is very solid. Put it on the car, and then immediately drove 110km + down a highway in a rainstorm for an hour and a half, didn't lose any of the covers like other people mentioned- use a rubber mallet or your fists to really bang them on there and they are good to go. Great looking rack, I'm sure it'll hold up to years of abuse that I seem to put all my stuff through lol. One thing I will say is that the baggy that holds all the screws and things came with a BIG ripped hole in it somehow - someone had already opened it maybe...? so a bunch of the little washers and things had fallen out and were scattered inside the box - didn't appreciate that, but everything was in there and found, and we have no issues at all beyond that.

Received this order right on time and installed it the same afternoon. Very straight-forward installation, though I had to remove everything and do it again in order to tighten the cross-bars to the mounts. Still took less than an hour. HERE'S WHAT TO DO:- Slide the cross-bars into the mounts. Mounts are marked L and R to make it easy.- Start the screws that go through the mount into the crossbar. Don't tighten all the way, but don't leave them too loose, either.- Place mounts (with cross-bars) onto the car's roof. Drop the special nuts in and tighten a full turn, just enough to catch the threads on the car.- Center the cross-bar and tighten down the cross-bar screws with a right angle screwdriver. There is NO other way to do this. A regular screwdriver will not work.- Use the provided hex wrench to tighten down the mounts. Be patient, since this takes forever.- Carefully place the plastic boots on top of the mount, and slap them down like you're trying to smash an orange, but not so hard that you would smash an apple.Follow these instructions and you'll have the kit assembled and installed in 30 minutes.I haven't attached my cargo carrier yet to see how it actually holds, but the material seems very sturdy and the mounts seem pretty tight. Seems like a good purchase!

This roof rack was easy to assemble and perfectly fit my 2009 Honda CRV. They seem very sturdy, tho I have not had anything up on them yet. For assembly, I would suggest you leave the screws that attach the bars to the brackets slightly loose and do a dry-fit prior to tightening them. Doing this, the brackets seated perfectly.

Kinda didn't even read the instructions... But assembly is kinda idiot proof, every part has a label somewhere on the part. I set the beams into the side feet and then gently lifted off and tightened the place holding screws before bolting to the braces of the roof. Worked well and very happy! Bought for vacation luggage, and ladders for work.

I just received and installed the crossbars today so it's a little early to rate how they function. This review is more for assembly and packaging and overall appearance. I ordered the crossbars on a Saturday and received notice that they were being shipped on Monday. They arrived on Thursday so it is what I expected. When I opened the package I found that the bars were securely wrapped with a plastic material and the ends had a foam covering to protect them. Howver, there was no protection inside the box. They basically just kind of rattled together inside the box. Since the individual bars were wraped there didn't seem to be any damage. There was a small plastic package containing the mounting screws. The odd part about that is that there were 7 screws inside the plastic bag and one screw was floating loosely inside the box. The package with the 7 screws was sealed so I don't know how the one screw was just loosely in the box. As usual, the instructions were kind of vague. They did mention that the longer bar goes in front and the shorter bar is the rear. However it did not mention that the mounting screw locations were different for the left and right hand sides. To be fair, it does state this in the Amazon listing but not in the mounting instructions that came in the box. You have to measure the distance between the screw holes to determine which is the left side and which is the right, and also measure the length of the bars to determine which is the front and which is the back. It would have saved some trouble if the factory would have marked the bars with a little sticky which state "front left" and "rear left". That would have solved some installation questions and simplified installation. The overall installation was pretty straightforward once you determined front and rear and left and right. Just line up the holes and screw in the eight mounting screws with a Phillips head screwdriver.My overall impression of the cross bars is very good. They appear to be well made and fit the CRV perfectly. They look like a perfect replacement for the OEM bars and you save quite a bit over OEM. At this point I recommend them but will know better once I start using them.

Has the OEM look and feel which was nice but the hardware I received was not okay, particularly the special screws. Have to find a replacement.Update: seller reached out and sent the replacement special screws and it's good to go. Updating the rating to 5 stars for fast customer service and OEM like quality.

I only write reviews when the product sucks or is outstanding. This rack was super easy to install, and it feels super secure and strong. I put off assembling it because I thought it was going to be more difficult than it turned out to be. It was so easy I was kicking myself that I didn’t pit it on right after it arrived.

Perfect fit for Honda CRV Touring 2020. Needed a little filing to match the screw hole. Looks solid. Used already two times with a load of around 70 kg
