LEGO 60221 City Great Vehicles Diving Yacht

I've always wanted one of Lego's boats that float. I seem to have missed the boat, if you'll pardon the pun, on some of their smaller non-emergency service sets and this one looked charming. You get a boat, a couple of figures with diving gear and a bit of undersea terrain (with sunken treasure!), as well as a swordfish, crab and fish. I like sets like this, that have a lot you can do with them (like the excellent Space Shuttle 60226) and adventures you can send the minifigures on. The boat itself is really nice and sporty looking, with some nice details like the sun lounging deck at the front and the bomerang piece used as a radar or something. Or just to look cool. Which is does. The cabin has room for a bed with a sticker used for some instrumentation/ undersea camera, which is nice (although a bit impractical being stuck above the bed). In addition to the diving gear, the two minifigures also get some hairpieces, which is excellent, so they're not just stuck wearing diving gear whilst they go out to sea. Just a shame there isn't a crate or something included to better tidy this stuff away - there's the simulation of a storage area at the back but nothing useful. Best you can do is sling the flippers and that on the bed. A few stickers are used to add a bit of detail to the pre-fab hull and roof which have survived the bath so far! As the boat doesn't need a lot of parts, Lego have chucked in a handful of parts to give you a surprisingly evocative bit of seabed. I know it's daft, but I really like this. It's incredibly effective and I like that you can plug the swordfish into the tendrils of the plant to make it look like it's properly underwater and swimming towards you. Nice. The orangey-yellow crab and sand blue fish are both welcome too, adding some extra colour and life to the scene, as you try to get to the treasure chest which contains a jewel (or two, if you're lucky enough to get a spare like I did). A small buoy build rounds out what is an excellent fun set with lot of play potential. Easily one of the best sets Lego's done this year.

You can't go wrong with the Lego brand. My 5 year old son loved putting this together, it took long enough to be a challenge but as ever the instructions were perfectly clear and easy to follow. He loves the boat and it floats in water for a bit too! The little sword fish is awesome and it's mouth opens & closes. We've had lots of fun with imaginary play since building it!

Amazing Lego kit for the avid master builder in your house! Super easy to busy and even more fun to play with! Brought for both my daughter and nephew and they’ve had non stop fun for hours with this set. Was brilliantly priced and super quick delivery too

It’s a good Lego toy, my son built it in a short time, he really likes it! As a parent I think it wasn’t much for the money spent. However I think that is the way with Lego! The item was delivered on time, no problems, thanks so much.

Brilliant for the price Was pretty easy for my 9 year old to build lots of little parts which he finds great fun. It cab be used in the bath too and honestly for the price I think it’s a really good buy, the shark is a winner for sure. Lovely as a gift for any ages Lego fan x

I bought this as a gift for my scuba diving girlfriend... She loved it and it makes a nice quirky ornament for the living room and a great conversation piece or toy for adults and children alike!

Et oui, ci vous cherchez un bateau en lego qui flotte, c'est tout bon ! Parfait pour le bain ou la petite piscine. Montage toujours au top avec les dessins 3D en couleurs de la notice. Le seul bémol c'est qu'il flotte mais pic un peu de l'arrière alors si on veut le pousser pour qu'il avance (oui ils ont pas mis le moteur ^_^ ), ben faut donner vraiment un petit coup pour pas lui faire prendre l'eau. La partie supérieure du bateau s'enlève facilement pour replacer les bonhommes.

Auf ein schwimmfähiges Modell von Lego hat man lange gewartet. Als Kind hatte ich selbst noch eines an das man einen Motor von Playmobil setzten konnte. Als ich die Tauchyacht gesehen habe war das daher fast schon ein Pflichtkauf. Das Modell hat 132 Teile. Darin enthalten sind die beiden Minifiguren mit Taucherausrüstung, ein Sägehai, ein Riff mit Schatzkiste, ein winziger Krebs, eine Boje und das Schiff selber. Der Zusammenbau ist extrem einfach und sollte auch für kleine Kinder mit Legoerfahrung kaum ein Problem darstellen. Der Spielwert ist für so ein kleines Set enorm groß und die Qualität wie von Lego gewohnt ausgezeichnet. Schade ist, dass für den Rumpf des Bootes Aufkleber mit dabei sind. Deren Lebensdauer wird bei einem Schiff das auch tatsächlich schwimmt und ins Wasser kommt natürlich nicht von großer Dauer sein. Man kann sie bei Bedarf aber ja einfach weg lassen. Fazit: Tolles Schiff mit hohem Spielwert. Bei dem kleinen Preis auch gut für Geburtstage geeignet. 5 Sterne!
