This is the one!
Listen people honestly this company is really great. Iโve been getting this product for over a year now and I had to contact customer service for something and they immediately fixed it but the main thing is that this is the only DAO that I can take with absolutely no side effects. It works! It actually works! Thereโs quite a few especially the cheaper ones Iโve noticed that just donโt do a thing. I do it for mast cell build up the causes puffiness in the face. Itโs a rare autoimmune disease. Iโve had to figure it out for the last 15 years of having it. DAO is something that works for me. I am truly really happy with this product and Iโve tried 10 different DAOโs.

Aillows me to eat more foods
I learned that I have two methylation snips, and I am lacking the DAO enzyme in my digestive system. Since I have been taking these enzymes, I may eat a larger variety of food, and I am not having an itching reaction.

ITCHY SKIN? Bugs crawling feeling??
I finally found my solution for that frikin itchyness from even a cotton fabric. Even a strand of hair feels disrespectful in your face when you have a hypersensitive histamine episode in your skin AND FRIENDS THIS IS IT! First was my vit d but now what? .. A frikin enzyme! WOW!!! im taking it two or trice a day with quercetin from the pure brand. And i stopped all the things i liked to eat: I suggest u watch doctor bergs vids on histamines!

Small but noticeable difference with my non IgE mediated soy allergy when eating out.
I got this because I have a non IGE mediated soy allergy and MCAS. I take it when I am at a restaurant and suspect I might have some soy. I definitely notice a difference as far as if I take this versus if I donโt. As far as histamine goes, fighting release helps a little bit with whatever youโve got. What I notice most is a slightly less scratchy throat, better GI tolerance, and a *little* less bloat. I like it enough that I have bought quite a few bottles and believe itโs worth a try.

Ironically, had a bad histamine reaction
I'm mean, it's not really a surprise given the fillers. Why shellac? I'm probably the most sensitive person alive due to a long standing chronic illness that has gradually brought my body to a place where I'm overwhelmed with histamine on a daily basis. I can only eat three foods and have been looking for answers for years. I finally figured out on my own (because docs seem clueless) that I have histamine intolerance and the reactions I have to foods fall exactly in line with having an over abundance of it. You can imagine how excited I was to try this product! I might actually get my life back. Nope. I started the way I always do with new supplements and opened the capsule to try only one of those tiny little beads you find inside. Five minutes later I'm reacting quite noticeably having all of my hallmark indications of a histamine reaction. Queasiness, itchiness, swelling sensation in throat among the most noticeable. Good thing I didn't take a whole pill. Since I know I've never been allergic to pork and the bottle says you don't even absorb the DAO in the first place I figure it must be a reaction to one of the fillers. The only ones I feel like I'm new to are the shallac crospovidone and carboxymethylcellulose. Seriously people, you want to help the ones who most desperately need this product and you use all this extra crap? I contacted Seeking Health customer service before I tried this product after reading the negative reviews to try and get some answers as to what might be causing the bad reactions and, of course, they could give me nothing but the generic "everyone reacts differently". Don't bother trying to get any real answers or speculation out of them or even a direction to follow where to find answers. So anyways, obviously I decided to take a chance with bad results. I even tried to break open one of the tiny balls to see if it would reveal the contents are separate and encapsulated in hopes that I could painstakingly weed out the actual DAO itself but it looks like it's all melted together...just in case anyone is as desperate as me to find a way to make it work XD. Unfortunately, I can only wait for a product to come out without all of the dangerous fillers as I've already whittled my diet down to three foods so the anti histamine diet is out for me. Seeking Health, don't bother to request I contact your customer service for help. I've done that and you didn't have a whole lot to offer so please just leave me alone until (or IF) you decide to figure out a way to offer us desperate people DAO without all extras our bodies can't handle. Thanks guys. Have a great day. Have fun eating whatever you want and enjoying life while I eat my Teff bread for the millionth time in my life and waste away in my bed. EDIT: For anyone who's interested. I've learned that you can essentially make your own DAO by growing pea sprouts and consuming them fresh and raw approx. after 10 days of germination. It's not hard to find out how to do this yourself online. I'm resorting to this. Feel free to ask for an update on this if you're curious. Today is 9/25/19 and my first batch won't be ready for a couple of weeks. UPDATE: For anyone who cares... I tested out a small amount of pea sprout and had the same reaction to it as I did this supplement SO, the only thing I can conclude is that it has something to do with my body's reaction to DAO itself. I can't think of a reason for why something that's supposed to lower histamine actually has the opposite reaction in my body. Symptoms were noticeable in my ease of breathing, throat swelling, nausea, dizziness and face tingling/itching. I did read a study on how the Catalase enzyme is supposed to help break down the byproducts of when histamine is broken down but since my reaction was so quick after hitting my stomach with both the peas and this supplement I'm not sure it has anything to do with a low level of Catalase in my body or anything like that. If I learn anything new I'll post it!

helps with food histimine issues
I have rosacea. Several years ago I noticed that my skin was getting very dry and flaky. Also my fingertips were getting so dry, that in the winter they would crack and bleed. Another issue I had was waking up in the middle of the night with a terribly dry mouth: I had a hard time getting saliva started at night. I was so thirsty during the day I would drink 10+ glasses a water every day, and still felt thirsty. It was like I had eaten cotton. I read a review on line about a rosacea product, and the reviewer mentioned that maybe his dry skin was related to food histamine. That review sent me researching all about food histamine and brought me to this product. It took several months to clean up my eating habits and get that excess histamine out of my system. Apparently our bodies are suppose to make a digestive enzyme called DAO, that helps to break down food histamine so our bodies can tolerate it. As we age or take certain medications, some bodies stop making enough DAO. This product helps to supplement that need. Its expensive. but worth it. I can now get by on just taking just one pill 2-3 times a week, and all my dry skin and thirst issues stay under control. But, if I miss a week or more, they start to come back. So I know this product works.

User error, it does help
I tried this as an alternative to Histame since it was supposedly stronger. Boy was I wrong! In addition to containing suspicious and unnecessary ingredients that I've reacted negatively to before, these pills failed to give relief from my high histamine symptoms. I'm glad it works for others. Since Histame is either discontinued or out of stock, I've just started taking Vitamin C (as ascorbic acid) to lower blood histamine levels. I use Nature's Way Buffered C-500. Vitamin C raises DAO and reduces blood histamine levels. There are clinical studies to prove it; just do your research. The only drawback is the potential for loose stools if you take too much ascorbic acid, so watch out for that. 1000 mg worked for me when I was having a histamine assault. If Vit. C doesn't work, try Amazing Herbs Nigella Sativa Oil (Black Seed Oil). It works when all others fail. Also, pea shoots/sprouts have DAO as well. I failed to grow my own pea shoots/sprouts at home, but a grocer had them. I just use a hand blender to create a green juice/smoothie. The pea sprouts aren't as effective as Histame, but they do add more DAO to my system. The Vitamin C has been a savior for me though. 2/1/17 update: I updated the review rating because it was my usage error that made it ineffective. Duh! You must take it exactly 15 minutes before eating the problem food to have a positive effect. Doing so did help, but I still don't like the weird ingredients. My apologies. I've found that acerola powder is a great source of vitamin C that doesn't cause loose stools at a high dosage. I buy the Mr. Ros brand and take from 2000 mg-4000 mg (4-8 tsp.) a day. I put the powder in water, add unrefined sugar, and it's a tasty juice. It's pricey at that dosage, so make the decision based on your own situation. I've also added white tea and holy basil tea to my weaponry against histamine intolerance. White tea is unfermented and has EGCG, which has been shown to block histamine. Holy basil is also good as a mast cell stabilizer. I drink two servings of the combo a day (1 tea bag of white tea w/2 tsp. of dried holy basil leaf per serving) in 8 oz. of hot water, steeped for 4 minutes. So far, so good.

Check when you first receiveโฆ.
Received in April. I used other product first, decided to give it a try today but the item was already open despite having a seal on the outside. I am not sure if the product has been tampered with and Iโm concerned about purchasing anything else from this brand again.

Histamine intolerance
Have struggled for years with histamine intolerance. After trying so many supplements this for me is the best to use when the meal has slightly higher levels of histamine than I would normally tolerate .
