The Tales of Beedle the Bard : Rowling, J. K.: desertcart.in: Books Review: Awesome - “No man or woman alive, magical or not, has ever escaped some form of injury, whether physical, mental or emotional. To hurt is as human as to breathe.” The first time I heard of The Tales of Beedle the Bard was - of course - in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. And I laughed out loud, crying and giggling for minutes when I first heard of Babbity Rabbity and Her Cackling Stump. My favourite tale is The Fountain of Fair Fortune. It just warms my heart every single time I read it. It's quite the opposite of The Warlock's Hairy Heart, but in a way, I still love the utter disgust and shock it produces. Dumbledore's notes are pretty spectacular as well. I love how he shamelessly tells Lucius Malfoy off in his letter about banning a tale from the Hogwarts Library. And by Merlin's Beard is Aberforth so fascinated by goats? It's always going to remain a mystery to me. This is an amazing, original collection of wondrous and beautiful, cruel and magical tales. If someone can create fairytales that feel like they could be in Grimm's collection, then it's definitely J. K. Rowling. I never thought it possible that someone could write a fairytale, that feels as old and as magical as the ones I grew up with. But I also never thought that a writer could have such an impact on my life. Review: Best book - Best book

My favourite tale was The tale of the three brothers (as ...
My daughter did this review. The tales of beedle the bard are all Classic tales. All the stories are full of magic, adventure, fantasy Some of the tales include the fountain of fair fortune, the wizard and the hopping pot and after each of beedle's tales are dumbledore's version/notes on the classics. The book also includes meanings of difficult magical words.and some stories also have important lessons in them. My favourite tale was The tale of the three brothers (as mentioned in Harry Potter and the deathly hallows ) it is a very good tale and I am sure readers of all ages will enjoy it.

A researcher's cup of relaxation
I am a researcher and a professor by occupation. And obviously, a big fan of Harry Potter. I came across Pottermore during the lockdown and started reading this book. This book is more like a review book to me. Reading the version of Professor Dumbledore has been so interesting, considering the fact that he is one of the best teachers I considered during my childhood days and even today. J. K. Rowling has yet again proved to be a great writer, not just for children, but elders too. It doesn't matter at what age you read her books, what interpretation level you possess, you will still be satisfied.

Not satisfied with the hard cover version
The hard cover version of the book is too costly and it has less illustration as compared to the soft cover book. Also it is too small in size.

Witty, inspiring and funny
I started reading this book, this collection of five short stories, purely out of curiosity. Didn't expect anything much. I've been pleasantly surprised by the warmth and simplicity of these stories and the beautiful message they deliver. Perfect book for both muggle and wizarding children (and adults).

Dumbledore insider
I've always been a huge fan of Harry Potter, even before I read the books. The amount of imagery it provides is tremendous, and the Fandom is so creative that one would feel the urge to unlock our inner witch/wizard. Tales of Beedle the Bard is a collection of his five short stories, abridged due to concerns raised by pure bloods stating that it promotes anti-magical elements (why does this sound so familiar?). The best part is that after each short story we come upon Dumbledore's notes and perception, and to add to that there's Hermione's footnotes too! I had such a wave of nostalgia reading this!
