Typodont Teeth Model, with Removable Teeth, Compatible with Kilgore Nissin for Teaching, Study

As I said before the product is great but even paying extra for faster shipping still took a while to get it (the perks of living in Puerto Rico 🇵🇷)

This Typodont is perfect for Dental Hygiene Students like myself. I bought it hoping that it would work for me and it went above my expectations. The gingiva is firm but still soft enough to facilitate probing and subgingival scaling. It fits perfectly with the Frasco model mannequins that are at school. After I got it my entire class bought them and we’ve had no problems since. Excuse the ‘calculus’. But I can guess you know that it’s hard at work. It’s best to get the ones that are FBA tho because the ones shipped directly from Dental Tech took over a month to be delivered....and that sucks if you’re behind in class. Otherwise, order it today!

For the price, this model is just okay.There a few issues that I'm going to assume are specific to the one I received. Mine arrived with a broken front tooth, and a couple of the other teeth seem a little bit off. One is a different color from the rest, and the other one has a different texture and is crooked halfway down the length of the root. The metal hinge part seems to function okay, but was heavily scratched and had very noticeable chunks of paint missing all over.As for the overall quality of the typodont, here are the things I noticed. The anatomy of each tooth seems pretty good and appears to match the Nissin teeth quite closely, but they are clearly made from a different material, so I have a feeling they will cut differently if you want to practice any drilling on them. It seems that the Nissin teeth do fit well in the model, but the screws that come with this model will not work for the Nissin teeth, so make sure you have the right screws. The teeth that come with the model are a little difficult to screw in/unscrew, and there is a significant amount of dust in each socket from when the screws were initially drilled in.If mine had not arrived damaged, I would probably have given this item 3 or 4 stars. Even though the quality of the model is noticeably lower than the Kilgore model, it is good enough and for a much lower price. Pity mine came broken.

Teeth are not easily removable like the description makes it seem. The teeth have screws holding them in place. Other than that it’s a good typodont.
