I have been using this hair color for years and have never had any complaints. In fact, my hair looks shinier and feels softer after every use. The gray coverage was quite good. I had no scalp irritations after using this product as I've had with some others. It is easy to use. My hair did not feel dried out or damaged from the coloring. The instructions were to not shampoo after coloring. I looked up on the L'Oreal website and there was a specific question posed about this, and the company's answer confirmed that there was no need to shampoo afterwards. However, I did anyway because I don't like the idea of chemicals remaining in contact with my scalp, and also I wanted to see how this held up with shampooing. To me, any hair color that can't stand up to being shampooed immediately afterwards is a fail. I was glad to see that this held up after shampooing. The color did not fade with daily shampoos. Of course after 3 weeks or so I needed a root touchup but that's to be expected with all hair colors. My only complaint is the smell. The product was supposed to be mixed in the bottle applicator provided then applied. I did not use the bottles. Instead I mixed in a bowl. I thought this would ensure I mixed the color thoroughly (instead of shaking the bottle to mix). As soon as I mixed the colorant and developer, the chemical smell was overpowering. Once I started to apply the mixture to my hair, my eyes became irritated. It wasn't just a strong smell, there must have been some fume as the product came into open air. The fume and eye irritation did subside after a while, but was both unpleasant and disconcerting. Since this product works quite well, I will try it again but this time use the bottle to mix. If that still causes eye irritation then I'll have to look at alternatives.

I am really happy with L’Oreal Paris Excellence Crème hair dye. The color covers gray hair completely and lasts a long time. After using it, my hair looks darker, healthier, and honestly makes me look younger. What I liked most is how clean the application is. The color does not spread or stain the skin, which makes the whole process much easier and less messy. The cream texture is smooth and easy to apply evenly. I also got it at the cheapest price I have ever seen, which made the purchase even better. For the quality and results, this is excellent value for money. I am very satisfied and will definitely order more in the future.

Good for box dye, the conditioner included is amazing, worth it if even just to get that. Patch test before you use on your skin just Incase.

I love this brand of hair color. It really does cover the bit of gray I have coming in, the color always comes as it looks right on the box.
