Does what it supposed to do
I used this converter to plug my Lexus/Toyota PHEV charger into my 240v dryer outlet in my garage/laundry room area. Despite the 120v plug on the level 1 charger that came with the car, they are used worldwide and in many countries, and that means 240v. I did some internet research prior to just recklessly plugging it in. It seems that most auto manufacturers have their included chargers rated at 240v. It's far less costly for them to do this, as opposed to making two different units for geographic areas. The car now charges up in about half the time. It's not as fast as a level 2 charger but, far less expensive. It works like a charm.

Works as advertised
I have a 2022 Rav4 Prime XSE plug in hybrid. The charging cable that comes with it takes about 12 hours to fully charge. Since I just bought the vehicle, I was hoping to buy a used level 2 charging cable. I did some research and looked at quite a few adapters like this. Someone was making them in a Toyota forum with good results. I read the reviews here regarding using this with the charging cable. Excellent product so far. It only take about 4 hours to fully charge. I have a 10-30 outlet on it's own fuse box. I check it every hour for overheating or blown fuse and neither one have happened. Very well made, specs are excellent. Highly recommend.

Charges my EV at twice the speed now
My electric vehicle came with the standard 5-15 plug it charged at 120 V and around 14 A resulting in 1 kW heart rate. The charger itself is 120-240volt compatible. I used this adapter in my 30A dryer connection and am now able to charge at 3kW at home. Works exactly as advertised for appliances with a Norma 5-15 plug that accept 240v input

Great for a 2018 Chevy Volt
I bought this to convert my factory 2018 Chevy Volt charger to a 240V that can plug into my dryer outlet. It works great and the car charges in like 4-5 hours. Saves a lot on buying a new level 2 charger!

Exactly what I was looking for.
I recently purchased a PHEV Kia, and I was charging it through my regular power outlets. It would take 14 to 17 hours to go from 10% to a full charge which was generally fine, but then... I read that you can plug your PHEV into a 240w outlet... often the same outlet that your dryer plugs into. For some reason, finding an adapter proved very tricky... Until I discovered this handy device. Now, my car is plugged into my dryer outlet, and it charges in 4 to 5 hours. NOTE: The manufacturer says not to use adapters with your charger, so I can't fully suggest doing so. However, I have had no problems with this system thus far. Do your own due diligence.

Works for intended purpose but be careful!
This product works for its intended purpose on my chevy volt with the 12A charger which can apparently take either 240 or 120v. But you need to make sure you understand exactly how your circuit works before you use it, it's very easy for someone to accidentally fry their devices or start a fire using this improperly.
