Great purchase (read to end for comfort tip)
Bought for recovery post surgery. The extra support and smoothing without bunching up anywhere was great. This is a very well-made garment. Check your measurements and order accordingly. I like that it has 3 rows of hooks which gives some flexibility of fit. I rated 4 on comfort for one reason only: because of the wide-spaced straps (which are necessary in the design to wear your own bra), the outer edge of the plastic hooks rubbed and irritated my skin. I solved this by stitching a soft piece of material around that spot. Manufacturer might consider adding an optional comfort pad to Velcro in place.

Excellent fit!
This fit me perfectly, helped with post surgery swelling and fluid reduction. Highly recommend for compression for the entire abdomen, back, hips and legs.

Seal was broken
The seal was broken, which means the product, post surgical product was already used.

Good enough as your first garment (stage 1)
I’ll make this a quick review for now, I might update it later. The material is very soft on the inside. The opening down there is big enough to use the restroom and it didn’t bother me or dig in my thighs as I thought it would. You just need to bring it back in place just like pants. Their measurements says I’m large. I am sand-clock body shape. I got 360 body lift and arms lift (skin removal) I got large and easily closed in it at the last hooks. So, I returned and got medium. I also closed it at the last hooks! It’s very stretchy in a comfortable way. However, I’m sure if I get size small, I’ll also fit me; if not even fit me better. However, this one is very comfortable to move around and sleep in. I agree with others about the thingys that dig in your shoulder, unfortunately. For me, I’m wearing jacket like thing for arms compression and then I wear this marena over it so I don’t feel the digging specially under chest and armpits. I really like that it’s almost ankle length. Does it compress well? Honestly I’m not sure, I’m still swollen and I’ve been wearing it for two weeks. It didn’t rip or anything like what happened with others hear. My surgeon office recommended this so I got it. I’m planning to use Columbian faja very soon instead of this since they offer more compression than this medical one… yeah I know.. I think it’s too expensive for the name or the “medical graded” but i didn’t have much options and getting a garment after surgery is a hassle. This might be very stretchy bc it’s stage 1.. idk

Straps on shoulders hurt
Great compression but the straps need to be wider, more comfy and longer for tall girls

Check your Packaging
I bought several of these through recovery from an extensive abdominal surgery. The rest all came in sealed packages. This one showed up in a clear plastic bag and smelled like Gain Moonlight Breeze laundry detergent. (I know that scent because I use it at home). The others I purchased were obviously new, not returned products. I found all this irritating as the packaging on the others I purchased, and website clearly indicate that these cannot be returned- likely because it is a medical device and is worn like underwear. Since it takes several days for these to arrive, I was stuck with the option of doing without a properly fitted garment for several days or boiling it to make sure it was really clean. I opted to boil it because I was in pain without a properly sized garment. The good news is that it survived the boiling process (I put it in boiling water for 3 minutes and then put it in the regular "sanitary" wash in my regular washing machine) quite well with no apparent shrinkage or other damage.

Compression lacking.
I’ve tried a few of Marena compression garments. I can’t quite find the right fit. Going by the fit guide and measurements just don’t work for me. I’m a small/medium gal. If it fits under the bust, it offers no compression in the waist no matter how much I tighten it. If I get it smaller to fit the waist then it’s too tight in the bust. It’s nothing more than tight leggings in my opinion. I’m not sure how they are considered medical grade compression. I finally had to cut my losses and move on to another maker. Sorry Merana, you’re too expensive for the under performance.
