great product works great

I spent three years blowing mucho dinero every month on some diesel probiotics. Renew Life 150 billion count, $60 a pop... you get the idea. Low FODMAP diet did wonders for me, a pro-kinetic (low-dose naltrexone) did wonders for me.... but I was still having SIBO issues. What gives? Well, it turns out most people with a raging case of SIBO should actually be AVOIDING lacto-based probiotics. For most people, yes, they're adding good strains to the gut microbiome. In SIBO, though, they're essentially just adding to the overgrowth. Gas on the fire. No bueno. Had a MASSIVE improvement in symptoms within a few days of switching to this probiotic (well, technically yeast) strain. My symptoms have always manifested as IBS-D. It's taken a long time, but I feel I'm finally past it. This probiotic was the missing piece. And since I've now tried both, I can say that Biotics brand is better than Florastor, cheaper than Florastor and without all the sketchy added ingredient Florastor has.

This product came to me Dr. recommended. They were a part of a gut healing regiment. Even though, I have been healed , I continue to stay on them for the Probiotics in them. Great product!

I have been using this probiotic for 10+ years now. My naturopath recommended it after I needed to take a powerful round of antibiotics. This fixed my system right up. I use it right after every round of antibiotics and after menstruation to get my flora in good working order again. It is like this strain provides the right conditions for other strains to survive.

After taking penicillin for an ear infection back in july, my gut was a disaster. No seriously, i had intense stomach gurgling, horrible acid reflux, loose stools, literally i was so gassy it felt like my intestines were bubbling. I was in really bad shape. I tried all sorts of probitiocs, sawy m natural path, tried anti-fungals, anti-microbials. Nothing would work, it got so bad I even went to the ER two weeks ago for severe stomach burning, my stomach literally felt raw. After a ton of research and speaking to several different doctors, I realized that my good gut flora had been completely wiped out. I needed a probiotic that went straight to my gut and wouldn't feed any bad bacteria. Cue in S Boulardii. I started taking one a day, on the very first day the intense gas stopped in my intestines, two days later, the discomfort and burning feeling in my stomach went away. I then upped the dose to twice a day, my stools are now FIRM and going back to normal brown colour. I seriously thought i was going to die these past 7 months. I am so happy and relieved I found a product that WORKS! I am currently still on a low fodmap diet, i have eradicated sugar and alcohol from my diet. I plan to stick to this diet for the next week, and slowly re introducing resistant starches like yams, cassava and sweet potato that don't feed bad gut bacteria like candida. Remember that there really isn't any supplement you should be relying on to make you feel better. My hope is over the next 6 months I can take myself off of s boulardii and have a normal functioning gut again. Diet is also very important with this probiotic!!!
