Sediment Filter Attachment Garden Hose Pressure Washer Outdoor Gardening Inlet Water (40 Mesh Screen)

I have rain barrels hooked up to a pump with a solar panel for my garden. I'd originally purchased a tiny filter that is made for the pump, but when you get near the end of the barrels, it gunks up quickly. I put this filter (40) before the tiny filter and it does a great job! The tiny filter has had nothing in it since I installed this one between it and the rain barrels. Word of caution though! That Oring is easy to lose! Without it the filter leaks and my pump wouldn't work, so you absolutely need that o-ring. Hang on to the extra one that comes in the package. Great customer service as well. I lost my o ring and can't find the extra and the company set me right very quickly!

I have a outside faucet ( frost proof) that water drain back into the ground, when you turn it off. I knew it was picking up a little a little grit in the water. I use this faucet to fill my sprayers for the yard and the garden. I was having a lot on stopped up nozzles. Since adding this, no more stopped up nozzles You do need to screw off the cup and clean it out good. I was surprise how much dirt it was collecting ..

It leaks on the intake port if you over tighten it. The internal connectors come loose. You can retighten the internal connectors with pliars.

Nicely made sturdy unit not exceptionally big. Perfect as a pump pre-filter to screen out larger debris and/or pre filter before a finer filter. good for use in an rv water hose application. easy to connect, clear filter bowl easy to see if it's dirty and easy to remove for cleaning. I would buy it again and recommend it to a friend

these filters are not heavy duty, only plastic. I was using them to filter well water soot that went to a washing machine. Things went well for a year. They worked wonderfully. All the silt and sand from the well was captured by this filter and cleaning out was easy. I had two of these filters placed, one for the washer and one for the hot water heater. I got a very unpleasant surprise. Both filters cracked at the threads near the clear collector. This crack sprayed the room like a water fall. My mistake in using them was I trusted them too much. I should have turned off the pump while not using them or purchased a metal filter. On both filters, the failures were time related to the threads just above the O-ring seals. If you need constant pressure on the filter, I would recommend a metal filter so that you don't get time fatigue failure. If you do want to use these, keep in mind that the plastic will get weaker over time and fail.

Update: Sept 7, 2020- Manufacturer replaced the product and I had a new one delivered and installed today. Now that’s service! LOVHO understands quality customer service- that gets them 5 stars. Buy with no worry that they have your back if it fails. Today I tightened the part that failed onto the large o-ring gently; babied it. Then turned water on. The water level in the filter rose from bottom to top then into the threaded area and gently seeped. So I hand tightened it a bit more, enough to prevent leakage. Let’s see how long it lasts. —- Update: Sept 1, 2020- The clear plastic filter cover failed today spraying water for I don’t know how many hours! Disappointed. Manufacturer- We don’t need to see the filter. Just knowing it is working and won’t break is good enough. Please send a tougher product that won’t break ASAP. —- May 2020- received today. haven’t used it yet. looks decently made. I do wish the connectors were real brass metal vs. fake brass so that it would last long with any water out there. Based on other reviews I think I’ll scuff up the outside area of the clear plastic outside the threads and apply a few layers of 5 min epoxy to toughen it up. this company should do the right thing and thicken this clear plastic part since it should be able to be repeatedly removed and tightened without fear if breakage.

I installed this on the back of our washer. We have issues with sediment getting in from our well. That makes the washer not work well and then you have to clean out the intake. This was a perfect solution. As you can see it has already gathered some sediment from a few washes. I did install it with my own Teflon tape. I also had to tighten the filter by hand a bit so it wouldn’t leak. I’m very happy with this product. Tools needed- Teflon tape and pipe wrench.

Worked decent for 5 months. I keep the hose off when not in use so it wasn't under constant pressure. Could be the Florida heat got to it? But I heard a loud pop and then the sound of water and the plastic housing cracked open. Still not a bad price for 5 months.
