Do these come in a box suitible to give as a gift?

I bought two sets of these. No “gift” looking box came individually covered with plastic over the top of the knifes and rubber banded together lol. I didn’t care as they were for me. But as I gift not the presentation I’m sure you were looking for. I bought these along with steak knives about a year ago.

Is the color a top coated finish that will come off with use?

I’ve used and washed, by hand and in dishwasher, several times, and the color has remained intact. I have the black ones.
