do these come with labels to write on?

Yes. They normally do. If you got one without labels, you may need to contact the manufacturer on it. Otherwise, there should be some on there. On the tape cover, there is a place to write headings and a long page inside the tape cover to write your songs or messages on there. Are these tapes assembled with screws that can be removed to take the tape apart? Looking for replacement tapes I can use to repair old cassettes.

I would suggest taking it to a professional stereo repair dealer to get them fixed. They know what they are doing. If some can't fix them, try other stereo repair dealers. I know eventually, they will fix them. That's my suggestion here. Thank you.

do these cassettes have 2 'recording lip'?

I think I know what you are talking about. There is a lip on the top side of the tape that you can use a pen to push it down and then it will release the tabs for both Side A and B. Once you take the tabs off, it will keep it from being erased. If later on, you want to erase it you could get a small piece of tape and tape over the tabs or lips and you can record it again. Then, after you do that you can take the tape off and it won't be erased. If that's what you are referring to, then I think I may have helped you here.
