EXO Puts Lee's (brand) "Kricket Keeper" to Shame!
I own various sizes of Lee's Kricket Keepers and they don't even come close to the quality of this Exo Terra Cricket Pen. Both have the same identical removable ventilated lids with one major exception. Lee's feeder tubes slide into the TOP sides of the LID rather then the body of the Keeper / Pen like Exo's does. A BIG minus when removing the entire top off and handling three items / parts. Exo's tubes stay put, inside, leaving any Hobo cricks remaining inside the tube(s) with no way to escape. Another BIG difference between the two styles are the "Cricket (tubes) dispensers themselves, Lee's are round while the Exo's is square, which makes the EXO'S more stable all the way around and keeps pressure on the trays at their "bottoms" from moving out of place. Here are the BIG differences though: Lee's has these "Lame" round flaps that (suppose) to cover the tube opening when pulled out and almost all of the time they (the flaps) fall off! The Exo Terra Cricket Pen has a drop down "Flapper door" built into the the inside of the pen's sides NOT IN THE LID (like Lee's) that will never fail. Simply slide the tube out of the Exo Terra Cricket Pen and the flapper drops down very fast and automatically to prevent escapes and easily reopens when the tubes are reinserted. The Exo Includes both a cricket food tray, and a water tray, both with tapered steps for even the smallest "Pinheads" to scale, the "Lee's" does not provide any Gut Loading trays. EXO also included a black sponge to retain moisture in the water tray. Each tray slides in neatly on the opposite ends of the pen held in place by the (inserted) square tubes that keep the trays from sliding around. The trays can easily be removed for refilling and cleaning. A very nice touch! At the time of this review both where eligible for "Prime" with the Exo costing ONLY 22 CENTS MORE than the Lee's, it's easily worth even a few dollars more! Also the Exo has a nice shinny Black top cover and is manufactured with a thicker, higher quality plastic, than the Lee's. I'm going to purchase the Large Exo Cricket Pen next. P.S. I removed the sponge from the water tray and fill it with Fluker's Cricket Quencher

Great Product!
I have owned several of these Cricket Keepers now and I can say this one is by far the best!. The fact that you can open the lid and leave the tubes in place makes feeding and watering the crickets much easier. I also have found that the square tubes work out better as well when it comes time to dump some crickets out to feed. The little food and water dishes work out well, if I were to recommend anything I would say the water dish should be a little bit bigger.(I use water crystals in mine and it dries out pretty quick) Other then that great product, and I would buy it again!

Works great and cheaper than pet store.
Works great and $5 cheaper than 4 pet stores within 50 mile radius to us. 4 stars because of the food and water dishes that slide around and I had to take crickets back out and tape down. Easy fix, but if they came built in it’d be perfect, tape will have to be redone as it’s washed repeatedly. This is our first reptile pet to care for so we’re still learning. If you’re feeding crickets you definitely need something to keep them in once home from the pet store. We got the small Keeper and it’s suitable for a decent number of crickets. We are Currently keeping a max of about 30 small ones in it. If I were keeping more, or needing a similar number of large crickets at one time, I’d probably get a larger Keeper size. Cricket Keeper Pros: -No tongs/tweezers needed for feeding because the crickets climb in the tubes and you use them to drop crickets into the cage. -Comes with food and water dish for caring for your crickets -Water dish comes with small sponge so tray can be filed but crickets don’t drown. -Removable lid makes transferring crickets or cleaning keeper easy Cons: -The food and water dish in this one are not secured in the keeper. Crickets kept getting smashed between the dish and walls of container. I don’t know if all of them are made like this, I simply used double-sided tape to stick them in place and it’s worked much better.

Order Twice
Received a broken product twice but the shipping box was undamaged both times. Great product but the box needs to be reexamined.

Very convenient!!!
This product has made storing crickets SO much better. I am on my 5th batch of crickets with this cage and have not had any crickets die in this storage. I was bummed with shipment BC it came in a bag and cracked the plastic pretty bad. I was able to easily get a replacement and return the original. Second time it came in a box and still had a small crack. Product usage and convenience pretty much make up for it though. In addition, my sibling bought the same product from local pet store and that one had a small crack as well. Worth it for the ease of feeding my gecko without having to reach or deal with crickets hopping out of a jar. Also saves me $$$ because I don’t have crickets dying.

Read the Reviews - Arrived Broken
This is one of those situations where reviews don’t lie. I received mine in the mail today. The box was not damaged at all. However, the cricket pen is broken. Oddly enough, there is a 1/2” x 3” (or however tall it is) piece of plastic missing, and that piece is not in the item, nor is it in the plastic bag the item was wrapped in, nor is it in the box. This was shipped directly from Exo Terra and they obviously have zero quality checks, or cares. I’ll be sending back.

A great cricket keeper
I needed to house and dispense live crickets to my gecko. The Cricket Pen does both very well. I am on my first batch of 40 crickets and after a week, everyone is healthy and no one has escaped. The large pen is appropriate for 50 adult or 100 small crickets. I have had a small Cricket Pen for months. It showed itself to be durable, but too small. Unless you enjoy a couple trips a week to the pet shop, I would go with the large size.

This is a great and very useful item for anybody with a pet that needs to be fed insects, particularly crickets. I use the large size it makes emptying out the plastic containers insects typically come packaged in the shops and also means that I can place plenty of fresh food for the crickets so they are gut-loaded before they are fed to my gecko. I tend not to use the trays supplied as I prefer to use fresh fruit and vegetables to feed the crickets but they are good for dried food, water gel or the sponge can be used if you need to use water but I found it tricky getting these out again when there were still crickets in the tank; you could maybe attach strings or something to pull them up to make it easy. The tank is easy to clean with few parts for muck to get stuck in but the tubes are best cleaned out using a bottle brush. I've had very few problems using this, the tubes are ideal particularly when you are adding a calcium or vitamin powder to your pet's food as all you do is shake a few of the insects out of the tube, into a plastic bag and add the powder and shake the bag out into your pet's tank. I don't remove the clear cap ends as I see no need to and there are no replacements if I lost or broke any of them if I were to remove them. Overall, this is great for people who have pets who need insects to eat but who prefer to keep the contact with the insects to a minimum and have few escapees!

Holes are too big and crickets get out. Would not recommend. I would return it if I hadn’t used it yet😅

Facile da utilizzare questa fauna box è ideale per chi possiede rettili e deve nutrirli con insetti vivi. Ne ho acquistate due nella dimensione small che si presta ad ospitare circa 15 grilli o cavallette alla volta. Facile anche da pulire.
