Not Just Another Pretty Cookie Book
This book won't gather dust on your bookshelf! I started out borrowing a copy from the library. But after making the delicious Lemon Bars and Florentine Peaks, I had to get my own book. Friends ate my cookies so fast they didn't last but two days in my tin. The book is so well organized with photography to support you each step of the way, that even the "complex" cookies are easy to make. I can't wait to bake more of Kristina's cookies. They are worth the effort and compliments will flow!

Brings back memories of the Austrian Pastries my Grandma Used to Make
As soon as I purchased the book I made the Blueberry Surprise pastries followed by the Chocolate Crescents. Both were delicious and easy to make. I am planning to make the Faux Pralines and Jammed Cushions next for a get together. The recipes are easy to follow and the photographs look good enough to eat! I have been making cookies for a very long time and have found the recipes in this book to be a nice and tasty addition to the recipes I have been making for years.

Wonderful book of European cookies. I've only tried one recipe which turned out perfect.

great photos, one small reservation
Great step by step photos of making delicate one or two bite cookies. They look fancy but are not hard to make. Don't expect cookies from an Old World bakery. These are American cookies. European inspired? I have two reservations. 1) The dough is the same for several of them so that part may end up tasting similar. 2) A large portion of these fall into one of three kinds....linzer, filled, and ring. Example....only one is called a Linzer but there are several more that are just called something else. But so far I am glad to have the book. There is plenty here to keep you busy and the grandkids are going to love Advent dinners this year.

Interesting selection of European style cookies. Like the way recipes are grouped into easy to more difficult. Beautiful photos to show me what shapes to form and very detailed instructions.

This is a very nice cookery book. Lots of different recipes and easy to follow. Step by step pictures so even the most beginner can follow them.
