How do you change to the wide bearing? We can’t seem to get the narrow one off and I don’t want to break it.

Really nice yo-yo there should be a small tool that you insert into the middle of the bearing and you just wiggle it out

What size axle does this yoyo have?

I would need to contact the recipient of the yoyo. He is the expert. I just know he really likes this particular yoyo as it works in two modes.

Is the yo-yo unresponsive?

This yoyo comes with a narrow responsive bearing installed, which means that it wakes up when you tug on the string. If you install a wide bearing, then it can be used as an unresponsive yoyo, which means that it only wakes up if you know how to do a bind trick. Want unresponsive / nonresponsive play? Just install the wide, angled C bearing that also comes in the box. Both a wide (unresponsive) and narrow (traditional responsive) bearing are included.

How long is the string that comes on the yoyo and how long are the extra strings that come with it?

The string is approximately 38 inches long. You can shorten the string for shorter children, which is explained in the instructions.
