Paper Trimmer, A2-B7 Guillotine Paper Cutter 18 inch Cut Length Photo Guillotine Craft Machine, 12 Sheets Capacity (Red)

When I got the trimmer it was not cutting straight. As you can see in picture 1 and 2 that the guide bar was not straight. I notified the seller and he is now aware of the issue. He offered me to the choice keep the trimmer at a discount or I could return it.I I loved the trimmer so I wanted to come up with a solution. I turned the trimmer over and saw that the guide bar at the top was screwed on and not glued. I took out one of the screws in the back of the trimmer as you can see in my third photo. I turned it back over and pushed the guide bar on the left side up a tiny bit.I conAs you can see in the photo number four the guide bar is barley above the line on the left side and picture five it is barely above the line on the right side. I then tested the trimmer out and it worked great. I think is the very best 18" trimmer that Amazon has to offer. I tried another trimmer and it was very expensive and was hard to work with. Now that I fixed it , I think it is an awesome trimmer and a great price. I now would defiantly rate it 5 stars and even higher if I had that option. It is not as heavy as the other ones I saw and not as expensive. It is a great trimmer.I I gave it 3 stars because I had to modify it to get it to work. Before I modified it, I would had given it one star. I gave it a 3 stars which is in the middle since I had to figure out how to fix it. I would defiantly recommend this trimmer to a friend or anyone else who needs an 18" trimmer. It is a fantastic trimmer. I would recommend if the guide bar at the top is not even on both sides to simply remove one of the screws on the end and push the guide bar at the top in proper alignment. I also had a slight issue with the clamp on the side being in the way and had to move out of the way. The clamp holds the paper in place. The other trimmer I bought that I am returning did not have a clamp and my paper kept moving out of place. I was cutting a 19" paper and and it is hard to hold a 19" paper in place. I am a digital designer and frequently have to cut my 19" x 13" paper a little smaller so I desperately need a 18" trimmer. I can go to a place and cut my designs t but it is easier having my own trimmer. I contacted the whole seller where of the trimmer and they were very concerned about my issue with the trimmer Other my little issue with the trimmer I would highly recommend it to a friend. Compared to the other trimmers from Amazon, I think this trimmer is the best one for the price and functionality of the trimmer.

Sorry, I don't like this paper cutter. There is a spring-loaded bar that is meant to hold the paper in place, on the right side near the blade, and it it SO TIGHT that I can barely lift it and get a paper underneath. Another thing I do not like is that the measurements are not in inches. Sometimes it's hard to determine features on amazon and so I feel responsible here, but I dread having to use this thing.

The metal guide doesn't go all the way across the top so it is not possible to line up pieces that are less than 2". I also found that you have to lift the handle almost vertically in order to trim the paper otherwise the lever that holds the paper down doesn't lift up high enough to get the paper in place. That is annoying when making multiple cuts. Another thing to be aware of is that all the grid lines on the mat are in mm, not inches, so if you want to cut with a guide the only reference to inches is the ruler across the top (which doesn't extend all the way to the cutting lever). It DOES cut smoothly and cleanly through multiple layers.

Simple, sharp trimmer. Makes nice clean cuts. Works well with a printer that does not have a built in cutter...

its light weight but does not cut square which i expected

It cuts square and is sharp. The adjustable stop was not used yet. I like the pre-clamp and the cutting blade lock down.The handle was touch to put on.An excellent mid priced unit.

It works perfectly! Nothing to complain about here. Also it cuts like a razor blade but the blade is not sharp.

I think I must have been sent a defective cutter. There was no blade, it wasn't sharp at all and it felt like it was ready to fall apart. I tried to cut a stack of 5 pieces of paper (regular copier paper) and it wouldn't cut at all!
