OUTSTANDING! I did lots of fondue hunting...how big of a pot do i want? electric or that fuel gel? stainless or cast iron or porcelain? What company? My god the list goes on and on...i ran into this one and thought what a novel idea it runs off of tea light candles. Love that idea...so simple. Light the candle and heat the porcelain and no worries it keeps the cheese great temperature, you could take this thing anywhere if you really wanted to do fondue outside your home, or over to a friends house and no cord to trip on or fuel gel to worry about just pop the candle under it and ready to go (I literally just got done with a fondue as I'm writing this). The pot is a great size for 2 people and could accommodate 4 but that would be tops. You do make the fondue in another pot on the stove top, however that is how you should do it then use the pot to keep it warm so the cheese and the wine can mix properly. The picture does this pot justice...it is elegant, beautiful and simple to clean. Tea light candles are so cheap ( I recommend the primelight ones - made in USA) i can't say enough about this little fondue set (yes, it comes with one tea light candle to get you started) I will definitely be going to Boska for all my cheese tools and other neat items they offer on their website.

Love this thing so much! We use it for keeping chicken drippings warm at the table after roasting a chicken or for butter when having a lobster bake. Really useful!

It's cute, it's sweet, it's great, it's stylie but....it cracked in half the first time we used it--and I followed directions for use to a "t". What made the big difference is that Amazon responded quickly and immediately, sent a replacement by overnight shipping and provided a return label for the broken pot. We've been on the move and haven't had a chance to try out the new one, but I'm soooo hoping this was just one defective pot (other reviews would seem to indicate that's probably the case) because it is the perfect little pot for keeping queso, or hot crab dip or a number of other things I can't wait to try. Haven't used it for fondue, but it is one sweet, small little pot for keeping dips and drags warm and inviting. I like it/love it and hope the next one stays with me a long time.

I got this to have some fondue for friends coming over. We used the tea light it came with but within 10 minutes I heard this crackling sound and when I looked it had a crack going down the side. We immediately blew out the light and let it cool. We cleaned it out and the crack also went although in the inside of the pot. On top if that when we went to clean it it got black all over our hands from the candle like the pain or something was melting. It got on other things in the sink and it barely came off one thing. Just a mess and honestly makes me worried we ate out of it! Absolutely returning and would not purchase again! I was so excited and thought this would be such a nice thing to have. Despite its size it can really hold a lot and would be so great for get togethers if it weren't for these issue :(

I’m writing this review before actually using it…but I couldn’t help myself because it is SO PERFECT for my plans! It’s simple, casual and a perfect size for 2 people having fondue (which i plan to make for valentine’s day!! It has only a wood base, the fondue pot (that I believe is cast iron) and 2 swords. It has a nice weight so it seems sturdy!!!

OK, perhaps it's NOT enough capacity for four (as described) - but it works fine for the two of us. No need for electric cord, and a place to plug-in at the dining table (or other, more intimate, location) is nice. Preparing the cheese in a pan at the stove, then transferring into this serving pot, works quite well. The tea-light candle is just right for keeping the mixture hot while dining, and the wood platform is attractive - and prevents damage from spilled wax (should any spillage occur). The tea-light provided was not well made, but replacements are cheap.

it's cute but too rickety for me

Every once in a while I purchase something from Amazon that I wish I had found sooner. This is one of those items. My old expensive SS fondue pot was too big for fondue date night, and no matter what I tried, the sterno would burn the cheese and make cleanup a pain!. This little beauty is just the right size for 2-4 people. When I'm in a hurry, I buy the small package of Swiss Cheese Fondue at the supermarket, and it fits easily in the pot. A tea light candle keeps the chese hot, which surprised me. No burning!!! Easy cleanup! Just be sure to melt the cheese on the stove, and I even pre-heat the pot by filling it with hot water. I'll be buying more of these for gifts!

Gros plus, au cas où vous n’ayez pas de bougies chauffe plat chez vous, il y a une bougie livré avec l’appareil a fondu. Préparez votre fondue dans votre casserole allumez la bougie un petit peu avant de déverser la fondue dans le récipient. Comme ça celui-ci sera déjà chaud. La bougie permet de garder le fromage à une bonne consistance sans qu’il ne durcisse trop. Fini le fil gracieux sur la table lors ce que vous faites une fondue Convient uniquement pour une fondue savoyarde, et non pour une fondue bourguignonne qui nécessite tout de même une chaleur beaucoup plus importante

I bought about 12 fondue sets for a gathering and 4 out of 12 cracked after the first use. It stated that we could use it for 4-6 hours however after the first hour it cracked.
