Small but that's the point.
This butter dish is exceptionally small but that is the point. Just chop a piece off the block, enough to last a day and keep the rest in the fridge. Perfect for a single or couple to use. Well made. Good quality. I would recommend.

Exactly what I wanted
I live alone and like to keep a small quantity of butter out of the fridge so that it is spreadable. This little pot is ideal and exactly what I was looking for. The other reviewers who gave it 1 or 2 stars and complained about how small it is are completely missing the point and anyway not only is the size is clearly given in the product description, but the pot comes in various sizes. I agree with everyone else's grumble that the lid does not fit very well which is why I haven't given it 5 stars.

TINY....NOT WHAT I EXPECTED. NO GOOD FOR UK.
It's not a butter dish, it's too small. It's pretty so i'll keep it BUT IT'S NOT A BUTTER DISH.

£7.99 Dish does not take 250g butter go for £9.99 dish!
I love this butter dish because it is tiny - don't buy this size £7.99 if you want to put a whole 250g of butter in it - It will not fit! Go for the £9.99 one - BUT if you like to leave out your butter so it keeps soft, it's perfect as you can put a small amount in it and do not therefore spoil a whole 250g butter in the hot weather!

High quality but smaller than advertised
This is a very pretty item of high quality. However, it was marketed as a butter dish and I assumed that it would be large enough for a standard packet of butter. It is in fact only half the size that I expected and will take only half a packet. Hence I cannot rate it more highly as it is smaller than was implied. However, I plan to keep it as a terrine dish.

Too small
This is tiny, looks cute but in my house I need to refill it every day

Neat butter dish. Just perfect.
I'm delighted with this butter dish. It easily holds 2 oz of butter, possibly 3 oz. It's lid fits neatly into the base so that you can lift off the lid without it being covered in butter. It has a fine finish and feels good to use. I bought it because every time I filled my standard sized butter dish with 4 oz butter other people in the house seemed to empty it in a flash. I hope that this smaller sized dish will encourage self restraint on butter use.

Just the perfect size
I ordered 2 of these as great for putting on a dinner table. They hold just the right amount of butter to be practical without looking too huge.Also ideal for someone living alone who wouldn’t want to put out a whole pack of butter at once.Great value for money.
