What is the body of the suitcase made of? what is pasco? is the body of the suitcase real leather?

Hi!! Thank you for asking. I know it's not that easy to tell by the picture. The body of the suitcase is made in Japan. In reality, it is recycled paper (yes, we are a green company). The paper is shredded, then processed through vulcanization, or compression, to become extremely strong... A.K.A. "Steel paper". The paper is then coded with our non-toxic color coding to give it a fresh look and extra protection from liquids. It's extremely strong, and at the same time, light-weight. We are very proud of this technology.

Even though the body is not leather, leather can still be found on the trunk, as that is what the straps are made of. The leather is imported from Europe and treated to retain resistance against the elements of travel. The leather straps help to secure the trunk, but most of all,  add a beautiful vintage style.
