Black Horse Rear Bumper Guard Double Layer Black Compatible with 2008-2023 Toyota Highlander-CRDL-TOT101B

Got rear ended yesterday and the pickup truck that did it came off worst for wear, this bumper guard stood the test of time, it was pushed in some but no dents on the bumper guard visible but for a few scratches, there was partial damage to the part of my bumper where the pick front section was high enough to ride over the bumper guard, but all in all, my vehicle was able to survive really extensive damage.

I purchased this rear guard because it stated it was a direct fit for my 2014 Highlander, It wasn't. The right side bracket falls right in front of the muffler making it impossible to install. Fortunate for me the mechanic who was installing it overcame the problem by cutting off the base plate and flipping it, so now the bracket fell to the side of the muffler instead of in front. also, there was a factory bracket on the right side for which i was able to use the bolts to fasten that bracket, but for the left side there was no factory bracket and so no bolts to secure the left side. These should have come in the kit, lucky the mechanic had some which took care of that. Had i tried to do this on my own, it would have wound up with me returning the unit. Hopefully corrections can be to avoid this issue, other than that the unit looks good.
