This product is good for a beginner also not to pricey so that's and A+++ ,it's also easy to set up though it doesn't come with a manual. Everything came as advertised. I am impressed with it.

The equipement used is a little confusing. At first it looks like the material is similar to celestron sold for x3 the price used for this one. Same exact equipement. So I thought this is a good deal indeed. The product is exactly the same, however some review mentioned that the scope is blurry about 40% of the view. I found it is true and exact. I am not sure why I am not able to see any detail of the moon. Seeing the moon with bare eyes is much better than the scope. I installed it correctly. I am giving it an okay review because of the price, the internals are very weak I am sorry but I do not like to drop their ratings.

This is a good basic refractor telescope. I finally used it to see something rather than just seeing how difficult it would be to put together (it's easy)Pros:I saw good detail on the moon for a hazy night for the magnification, and decent detail on the tree branches when I was looking and trying to focuscomes with a relatively roomy carrying caseGood view-finder - I was able to find the moon with it and then fine tune the focus knob on the telescope itself to find the moonCons:The manual/user's guide lacks detail (very few drawings and if you don't know what the parts are supposed to look like, it's a lot of guess work or googling)tripod - while good, it's very short, especially when the telescope is tilted up near 90 degreesSmart phone adapter - while good in concept, the directions for use are inadequate, and it is too heavy for the weight of the telescope and tripod. It tends to knock it out of alignment with whatever you're trying to view.

I've had several people try to put this together without success. I was certain someone would figure it out and I've missed my return window. The manual does not offer detail instructions. You just have to follow the pictures. And when you do, pieces don't fit.Edit: After posting my problem a solution was offered by another buyer. Now it is together and working. I have updated the star rating (from 1 to 3)

My girlfriend recently took an Astronomy Honors course and was always discussing the lecturers that she was learning. After she received an A in her course, I decided to purchase this telescope and surprise her with her own. She absolutely loves it! She says it is as good of quality as the ones she has on her campus. We love taking the telescope and looking for planets and seeing the moon. This telescope is great quality and is a great purchase! If you are considering purchasing a telescope, I would highly recommend this telescope! It is easy to use and the image is truly spectacular.

It's very cool! sadly I can't figure out how to set it up though! It was for my son's birthday ! I see someone mentioned u tube instructions. Can anyone recommend anything.

El telescopio llegó completo y luce de buena calidad espero que también se vea bien.Pesó 7 libras al llegar debido a las cajas,osea más de 2 libras extras.

This telescope is not for beginners as advertised. I have been out every night I could since January and it is April because I heard it takes practice, and i still have only seen the moon and not very well. My binoculars have a better view. It's too late to return (hence the practice time) but if i could i would.

Decent Telescope. Very easy to assemble. Just see the picture and follow. Took me less than 5 minutes to assemble. Come with a bag, so easy to carry.

Me encanto este telescopio, tiene muy buen alcance toda la familia lo disfruto mucho en el último campamento y tomamos excelentes fotos con él, lo único es que el adaptador para el celular es exclusivo para iPhone 4, lo bueno es que un miembro de la familia contaba con uno por lo que se pudo tomar buenas fotos, muy recomendable

This telescope can’t even see city, everything blurred, can’t use it properly, the small lense seems everything upside down

Es muy pesado para su tripie, provoca inestabilidad, el celular se batalla para colocarlo

Muy bueno, buena potencia y el soporte para el celular deja tomar fotos increíbles solo deben practicar.
