Finding a pill cutter in pharmacies on the high street for large pills is difficult. Most cutters are of poor quality, and have a short shelf-life - or are now combined with a pill crusher which is a redundant item for many people. This pill cutter is the best I have yet come across. It easily cuts large oval-shaped pills in half (evenly, not at an angle as some have stated in their reviews). The cut is a sharp break so there is almost no pill residue or powder either. It is very simple to use. The clamp works rather like a claw and it's relatively easy to get the pill in the centre. Close the top and push the handles firmly together and the pill cuts with no problem leaving the two halves in the two sections of the cutter. This works best, I think, with large pills. I have not tried it with small ones which might be difficult to centre and hold in place. Although the manufacturer states the blade will last a lifetime I am sceptical it would. But, it will, I am certain, have a longer life than the usual ones on the market. It's good quality, does the job well and is worth the money (expensive though that seems).

if the pill has a line to break it i can just break it with my hands, so i need this cutter to cut pills which do not have the prepared line on them, you still have to measure by your eye and place the pill in the middle and hold it with your hand, when you make the cut it ill crumble a little bit wasting some of the pill, the cutting edges never actually touch each other so they wont become dull so probably it will last, better than nothing, sometimes its better to use a very large heavy sharp knife and that cuts more accurate and also crumble free, but with a knife the pill can just shoot out when you cut it and it will fall under a furniture you never find it, that doesn happen with this cutter.

At last a pill cutter that does what is says. Brilliant, needs a bit of getting used to holding a positioning tablet but once figured out is pretty easy to use. Have to give cat a tablet every day that have to cut in half and put in a capsule as taste awful and capsules are harder to spit out. Did about 15 in the time it usually takes me to do 3/4 and also cut really well with very few bits. 🎉😊

Works well, and hopefully blade won’t blunt. Potentially may be difficult to use if you have issues with dexterity. But pills don’t crumble with use unlike the cheaper pill cutters. Downside is you have to measure by eye where the halfway point of the tablet is, could do with a measure on the inside to aid with this. Going to purchase a cutter of the same design but different brand that has a measure guide on the inside as need to be able to accurately halve the tablets. If they can upgrade this one to having a measure guide, I’d add another 1, if not 2 stars (particularly if provided with a free upgraded version! ;-) )

Good product , clean cut no mess. Highly recommend especially for small brittle pills . Best pill cutter so far .

Does exactly what I wanted. I have been using this for a couple of months and have used it to split some tablets into two and three sections. Would recommend.

Been using this for 3 years and the it's been perfect, it's so easy to use and consistent. Before this I tried those blue plastic cutters that have a blade in and they were terrible, bad halves and crumbled tablets. That's not happened once with this and I'm using it about 60 times a month

J'ai essayé plusieurs marques, mais celui-ci est vraiment super. Facile d'utilisation, il coupe bien net sans faire de poudre ou de minuscules morceaux éparpillés. Le couvercle permet de ne pas perdre votre comprimé en le faisant tomber par terre ou qu'il se retrouve éjecté en le coupant. Seul point faible : son prix. Il n'est pas donné. Mais il a l'air robuste. Je pense que c'est un bon investissement.

I’ve had it for almost a year and it still works like new. Feels much sturdier than the plastic ones. Very easy to place the pills for a precise cut. I found it loud initially but I wrapped one of the arms with a tiny rubber band and that solved the issue.
