This is quite annoying, but less so than my son’s old door hoop. This one is well-made and causes less vibration against the door. My son has been “dunking” on it for five months, and I recently checked behind the door—luckily, there’s no damage to the door. I believe it’s worth the price.

This product is pretty good, but kinda miss leading. You know that they saw, "oh we have cool springs and stuff on the rim like actually basketball hoops etc." its pretty useless... also when you dunk the backboard which is made out of plastic just bends for some reason and also buy a small basketball hoop not an XL, i bought an XL and its TOO BIG when i put it on my door i dont even need to just to dunk and is pretty boring, buy a regular one! I am giving this product 9 stars for a normal hoop and 8 for the XL. i waited around 3 days for the package btw. the assembling was pretty hard to screw in the small bolts and pretty annoying, and also this product is for like 12-15 year olds its pretty expensive and buy it for kids that acctually enjoy basketball more then a hobby! -Lukas stalauskas

i live in a small apartment with a door in the kitchen that reveals a washer and dryer. after placing the sklz hoop on that door which is in the kitchen, i now have a witty line whenever my friends come over, heres an example.. "Who wants to take shots in the kitchen?" no longer is this reserved just for drinking, we can now get our (mini) game on, in the kitchen. i must admit it was funny the first couple of times and it kinda lost its luster, however it is fun to have around. small enough to place just about anywhere, games of horse have never been more entertaining. as a college student, its nice to spend free time with friends, not only on xbox live, but in person as well, so when they come over, and they see a legit looking hoop thats actually sturdy, and not a cardboard backboard and a plastic rim, they are more than down to play. ive been wanting one of these with a metal rim for years, not a company saw fit to produce such a thing. Overall, very satisfied, even bought another for my brother who is stationed in ny (army), he says that every now and then they are snowed in, i think this will keep his spirits up while hes miles away from home (which is az). oh, and the ball it comes with is also really nice, however because its much like a real basketball, it has some weight, only problem i have is that i live on the second story of my complex.. people below me may not want to hear the constant banging of that ball hitting the floor. i did however find other foam balls and rubber air filled basketballs that are light and hardly make noise when thrown around. In all, great product, and looks awesome

Absolutely fantastic! I would definitely recommend the xl version, and get some of the sklz foam balls while you're at it. The rubber ball that comes with this is heavy, it's just like a real basketball and could do some serious damage to your house. The backboard can bend pretty easily, it's not thick enough that it stays straight. I wouldn't let your kids slam dunk much or it could break, as the backboard will bend when the rim is pulled down. Overall this is a fantastic present for my son. My wife loves to play basketball with him, it's a quality item that will last for years and years if you don't treat it like it's something to hang on. If you just want this to take shots with, you won't be disappointed. It won't damage the door, and if you put it on the correct side of the door then it will fit perfectly every time. People complaining it doesn't work with their door, are putting it on the wrong side, you geniuses.

Got this for our 7 year old for Christmas. Not bad but only made it 4 months. Out son did dunk quite a bit on it but the closet door should have broke before this.

Very easy to build, perfect condition.

I like the bigger size 23"x16" clear plexiglass backboard. The steel hoop is sturdy and well made. I just wished the backboard was thicker as it is a little flimsy with a thickness of 1/16". Wish it was thicker and more sturdy.

The board is the largest available to hung over the door. It's easy to assemble and very sturdy but the plexiglass still bends and makes a lot of sound (still better than kids shouting and banging doors). depending on door thickness one could, or even better just in case, use extra padding with double-sided tape to minimise the banging and any possible damage to the door paint by the bolt holding the rim set. It's great fun for kids and keep them busy.
