Chainsaw Much Quieter - My Ears Finally Get a Break!
I bought these ear defenders mainly for when I’m using my chainsaw, because anyone who’s used one knows it sounds like an angry swarm of metal bees trying to start a rock concert next to your head. First time I used them I was honestly impressed. Without ear protection the chainsaw is properly loud and your ears feel it afterwards. With these on, the noise dropped a lot and you can still hear the saw (which is good, because you probably should), but the decibels are clearly reduced and it takes that harsh edge off the sound. Instead of “JET ENGINE IN MY EAR,” it becomes more like “loud tool doing its job.” Much nicer. They’re also really comfortable. The padding is soft and they don’t clamp your head like a medieval torture device. I wore them for a decent amount of time cutting wood and forgot I even had them on. The 2-pack is actually handy as well. One pair lives in the shed with the tools, and the other is there in case someone’s helping… or if I misplace the first pair (which happens more than I’d like to admit). Pros: - Noticeably lowers the chainsaw noise - Comfortable to wear for longer jobs - Solid build quality - Two pairs for the price Only tiny downside: Your ears might get a bit warm after a while, but honestly that’s normal with ear defenders. Overall: If you’re using chainsaws, mowers, or other loud tools, these do exactly what you want drop the decibel level and save your ears from sounding like they’ve just left a heavy metal concert. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ My ears are much happier now.

Perfect for London Underground
On the plus side these ear defenders work well for blocking screeching on parts of London Underground where the wheels scrape against the track, such as Northern line between Camden and Euston and Central line near Stratford. They also allow you to hear natural conversation while blocking out higher or lower range noises. On the minus side they squeeze the head and are uncomfortable after a few minutes. For short-term use they are fine. I tested these defenders in various scenarios: Pneumatic drill - I stood three feet from a workman in the street using a drill on the pavement - excellent, sounded like the drill was half a mile away. Drum concert - heavy night-club type bass - no effect, didn’t work to keep out bass. London Underground - screeching as train wheels grind the track - good, prevents noise from being ear-piercing. Washing up chinaware in the sink - plates and cutlery banging and crashing - good, they prevent the noise from being painful. You must ensure the noise blockers fit right around the sides of your face. The slightest mis-fit due to the mufflers not being positioned properly, and they basically don’t work. E.g. if you wear a woolly hat that gets in the way of the defenders, they won’t work. These are not noise cancellers but noise blockers. There is no cancelling effect but don't let that put you off. I would recommend these.

ADVICE FOR SPECTACLE WEARERS
When fitted correctly these are fantastic. Block out the annoying hiss of other people's headphones; create a perfect cocoon. The only thing I found, as a reading class wearer - is that they really hurt when I had my glasses on, pushing into my head. Have now found a solution (thanks ChatGPT). Before placing on your head, put your spectacles on so they do not sit behind your ear but well above (the defenders themselves will keep them in place) and then sit very snugly on your face, blocking out sound. Otherwise, oh the pain behind my ears.. I am female and have a small head and these are ok. They are snug yes so not sure how a big bloke could wear them (probably need to stretch them out) but sound proof wise - ideal

Great for young adults with ASD
My son has autism level 2 and once starting college struggled with the collective noise generated from a large place of learning where there is a lot of movement and chatter (mainly in break periods). These defenders are good quality with a wide fit that closes comfortably over ears. The noise was reduced to a low hum which my son stated enabled him to cope better.

Protected my ears perfectly at a rock concert
I have sensitive ears and loud noises make me very uncomfortable, so I wanted something to protect my ears at a rock concert I went to. I have tried in-ear plugs, but I hate the feeling of having them in my ears. I opted for these over-ear ones instead. They were great! I was a little worried they would block/muffle the sound too much to be enjoyable, but they didn't at all and I had a great time. Understandably they don't filter the frequencies the same way some in-ear ones would (e.g. Loop Experience) but it was a small sacrifice for the added comfort. I also didn't find them tight or uncomfortable at all, I did not need to stretch them beforehand and I wore them for 3+ hours in one go. Something to note is that if I turned my head a lot, some sound would leak in where the ear protectors would lift off my ears slightly. This is normal and expected though, and didn't cause me problems. The headband length is adjustable and they fold in neatly, taking up much less space than I anticipated. They're a great pair of ear protectors - now I feel much more comfortable going to concerts again knowing I don't have to worry about hearing damage.

These Ear Defenders are a must, not only for work but for private use as well.
I bought the ear defenders for my work as a warehouse night shift operative to shield me from the conveyor belt's noise as well as from certain type of "wakey, wakey" employee's or Turkish opera music played (At such a point in life you would ask the CIA or MI6 for suicide capsules.. I could not resist to wear them on the Sunday they arrived and come to the conclusion that they are a must for private use as well as we forget that radio frequencies, traffic, electronic devices etc. are all a source for noise creation. Furthermore is our decibel science not very far evolved and only describing a scientific clue of the real sensoric power that our ears have. I assure you one thing, these ear defenders also protect against the not yet scientific categorised sensoric frequencies that our ear can perceive other than decibel. They are very comfortable and you can even wear them when lying on a pillow, even when they were not made for sleeping, they will do more than just do their part there. I would give them 10 out of 10 stars. The more less important issues. They are likely made in China, but would have preferred US made ones for own cultural market purpose, but have an Anglicistic - Dutch name "Vanderfield". I had no instruction letter inside, but the package clearly points toward reading the one inside. The package description is in Chinese and English with a few English spelling errors, which would usually affect the associated company and quality of the product, but definitive not in this case. I would directly buy them again, which I think about, due to private use. You can really fold them in a way they take much less space, they would even fit into a cargo trousers bag in this mode. They are not clumsy when wearing them and look even aesthetically slim and smart. This is right now the best product that I have bought this year on Amazon. Both thumbs up. Cheerio!

Small, only good for young people.
They're ok, but a bit on the small side. So only really good for children and teens.

Muffle noise like i wanted. Not meant to erase it.
Super. Just as well as i bought 4 pairs! 2 for my son who autism & like myself likes his own noise but not anyone elses. And 2 for me because i have perma sensitive, sore ears from chronic otitis externa (diabetes related). And my sons noise during a meltdown can be overwhelming! The only slight issue is i can not figure out how to adjust them, they are a tight fit. But someone else adjusted them for me so they are adjustable.

Light weight and effective noise control
Very light and comfortable to wear. Initially thought by seeing the package, the device may be small. On opening the box I realized the device is nicely designed and foldable to maximum extent compactable. Ear cups are also soft and not pressurize the ear. Overall I'm happy in getting this ear defenders.

Nice Muffs
Got these for various members of my family for when we're using power tools, vacuums, blenders etc. Kids enjoy wearing them. I use them when operating the snow thrower. They work great, are comfortable and block sound just the right amount. Definitely stylish too which is a big plus.
