Barrina T8 LED Shop Lights 8FT, 72W 10000LM 5000K, 6 Pack, High Output Tube

I was a bit unsure about these at first. I bought them to replace some old school T12 96 HO fluorescent tubes after one of the ballasts went bad. I figured with the electric savings, instant start, and the price of one ballast being 30% to 40% of the price of this 6 pack why not?I removed the old lights and ballasts and installed two of these direct hardwired with a hot neutral and ground. Bad move.... It was waaaaay too bright. Wish I had been wearing sunglasses. The install was very easy with a couple spring clips anchored into the drywall ceiling. I removed them both and installed one in the middle and it is more than enough for my 10x10 kitchen while also only pulling the 70 or so watts from just one light instead of two. Couldn't be happier. These lights work well with my diffuser panels. If u look directly without a diffuser they will make u see stars. Biggest pain was spackling the holes I had made installing 2 lights...My ceilings are 8 feet.. I am sure these would work well at 10 or even 12 feet from the amount of light i receive at 8 feet. I installed two on my garage ceiling and it is bright as day for a 2 car garage. This is a 10 foot ceiling. The rest of the lights will be going up in the attic soon. I chose the Barrina brand rather than other brands for the stated three year warranty. We will see if that will be an issue in the future and if they or Amazon stand behind it.

📰 So very good! I ordered the 4ft bulbs previously and then ordered the 8ft bulbs📏 AND more of the 4ft ones again. Very small, compact and bright! One of the 8ft LED lights replaced an 8ft/4 bulb fluorescent fixtures and I did gain more and brighter usable light from 13.5ft high ceiling mounts. Very easy to install 🛠or retrofit, easier than a ballast change. Barrina includes at least 3 ways to power 🔌up the fixtures and option🗜 for the fixture mount. They can literally be Plug And Play. Most people are capable of installing them. I have 3 large home workshops and I am changing out all my first,three with these. My good friend and neighbor is also using these exact 4ft lamps in his workshop, home and rental properties as do I. These are great lights at any 💰price, but especially at Amazon's price and fast delivery. I keep looking at other brands.and styles and keep going back to these💡lights. Rarely do I give a rave review without finding some sort of fault and this IS one of those rare times. Long term longevity? These LED fixtures are cheaper and easier to replace the flour. tubes and ballasts. 3 year warranty, brighter more usable light, smaller fixture and much cheaper electricity operating costs make this purchase a no brainer. You can find my previous review on the 4ft fixtures. All of the lamps have been delivered in good shape, complete and in good working order🏁. This is the biggest bang for the buck that I have made in upgrading my workshops, ManCave, patio & home. 🔜BUY, BUY, BUY! I will add photos when they are available, but the ad photos are better and 100% accurate. Do not under value the included accessories....they made Very Good - Great!💵

I needed to brighten up my work shop and bought the 6 pack 8 foot option. The clips will hold the bulbs in place without any issue however I added a small wire tie around each end based on comments from other reviews. If you have access to a laser, use that to mark the clip locations and installation will be much easier. As others have pointed out, the hard-wire ends that are supplied are too short so if you plan to hard-wire these you will need to extend the wires. I just mounted a receptacle and plugged mine in. The 4 foot linking cables were the right length to space the bulbs where I needed them and the 6 bulbs are more than sufficient to really light up my oversized 2 car garage. There are 2 strips of LEDs in each bulb and they are angled away from each other to disperse the light better. We will see how long these last and if they fail anytime soon I'll post an update but for now these lights are a great way to light up your shop and are a good value. The 5000K is a bright white light which is perfect for a work shop. The bulbs are light enough to install with one hand so you can install these without help. I screwed the mounting clips directly to my ceiling rafters with the included hardware (you get 4 clips per bulb) but if you are screwing into a drywall ceiling you will need anchors and longer screws which are not provided. The screws provided are only about a 1/2 inch long, adequate if screwing directly into wood. The bulbs are a few inches shorter than 8 feet which wasn't an issue for me but if you have dimensional requirements you might want to keep that in mind.

Fantastic lighting no dead spots or black spots - my garage is very comfortable to work in. Price was low. I have a type of blind spots called Macula Telangiectasia (MacTel Type 2) and this particular type of lighting is very helpful and causes less fatigue. I would recommend these lights for sure. You don't have to have my eyes to see they work great. Very easy to install as well.

I really like these. They are nice and bright and easy to install. I have 3 rows of them running the entire length of the garage and everything is very well lit. I like a bright work area. One down side is that they interfere with garage door opener remotes. You have to be really close for the remote to work when the lights are on. Mine are 5 years old and don’t get that much use. A couple of hours per week maybe. I recently noticed individual LEDs are beginning to fail in some of them which is disappointing. See photos.

Super bright. These things completely changed my garage. It's like daylight now in the middle of the night. They were very easy to install, and the lights are very lightweight. If you wanted to use command strips instead of the brackets, it would likely be just fine because the lights are so lightweight.

No clear instructions, but once I separated everything it was pretty easy to figure out for what I wanted to do. I wanted to hang from chains to be able to adjust light height on my adjustable shelves. The daylight they give off is perfect, and my snapdragons started to germinate on the 5th day. New record time!! I have a lot more seeds to start when the timing is right for them, but highly recommend these lights. Beats my clip to the shelf lights, which work really well, but are bulky and hard to get full lighting coverage. I will still use them when I start transplanting and move off the shelves. Seem very sturdy and didn’t need to buy very heavy chain or S hooks. I bought the set of 6 - 3 ft lights and put 2 side by side on each of my 3’ x 18” shelves. I have the lights set about 2” above my trays on this first round of germinating, but will adjust height of lighting by shortening chains or shelving. I feel they are an awesome valuable compared to local big box company.I can’t wait to fill this shelves!!

Overall:Do not waste your time on these, unless you only need light for 1-2 years.I've had these installed in my garage for 5 years, primarily to replace old fluorescent tube fixtures so I could have useful light for woodworking. I was very hopeful: these lights were very bright, and worked well for 1-2 years: my wife commented that I "could do surgery" they were so bright, and looked great!There was occasional buzzing with 2 out of the 6, 8' lights that I purchased, but this wasn't too bad. However, the build quality was terrible, as LEDs within individual lights started dying after just a few months of use, and after 4 years the lights started failing completely. After 4 years, entire sides of the LED tubes started failing, and now after 5 years all 6 units are either 50% or completely dead, and I have to replace all of them.Mounting:The cord and connectivity options for linking lights worked well, but mounting was a bit of a chore, since the clips were not particularly easy to align over a 6-8' length. Cord length was good enough to be useful.Performance:Initially, for the first 1-2 years, very good. Not build to last, clearly. LEDs within individual light fixtures started dying after just a few months of use, up to 15% of the array, and after 4 years the lights started failing completely. I noticed some occasional buzzing, which confused me, but it was a minor irritation. After 4 years, entire sides of the LED tubes started failing, and now after 5 years all 6 units are either 50% or completely dead.Use:Incidental garage access for storage and retrieval, and occasional woodworking. Probably averaged 10 hours of use per month for woodworking - not heavy usage. Garage is insulated, and does not freeze, but gets to ~85F in the summer.

Wow is all I gotta say .These amazing value lights . 2 strips on a small garage is just amazing . So easy to install . Super light and clips in .I don’t know why people review the “ bad clips “ my god ..just use 3 per light and it holds right and well . And so bright ! 27 a piece of you get 10 pieces basically , Home Depot is 140 per bulky light that is heavy and stuff . This is plug and play with any cord supplied . aluminum backing framing . It’s just like a massive trouble light . So light like a glass of water . You could even 3M tape it to ceiling I suppose if you want it clean and no clips , you can actually finger band clips even tighter if that pleases you . But mounting is zero issues . People don’t lazer or strong line the clips and misalign the 8 foot length I guess . My clips hood well as designed to hold .Buy these light if I’m doubt , I’m a very picky guy and my garage is just like heaven now all lit up.

Previously had florescent bulbs in the garage and they simply didn’t provide enough lighting. Bought these for their cheap price and so far I have been very pleased with them.They are very bright, 5k is the perfect color temperature.. not too blue not too yellow, almost like real daylight. They’re nice and lightweight which means installing them is an easy 1 man job. The lights are very slightly under 8 feet and the cables are slightly shorter than advertised as well but that’s not really an issue.Originally I had these plugged into power, but recently I hard wired all of them. Had to buy T5 extension cables here on amazon that were 10 feet, but they worked with this product just fine. Brown is live wire, blue is neutral, green/yellow is ground.

Great lights very bright excellent for a home garage if u work on vehicles

The lights have been in my enclosed Garage for only Two Years, almost 50% of the LEDs have failed, and more are failing all the time. The lights do not have many hours on them, as it is in my home garage. I am very disappointed, as they were great when first installed. I recommended these to a friend, and he also has the same problem. At this point no response from the company

I have these installed in my shop and they are amazing, no more shadows in the garage. They have seen hard usage over the last few years now and not one issue. They mount super tight to the ceiling and put out a ton of light. Cord management is my only gripe but thats a me problem. Would definately buy these again
