Best value around.
I can hardly believe the value I got here. This is a great little instrument, sounds and plays as good as one costing 3 times as much. Even the pickup sounds great through an amp. I am very pleased. Would recommend to anyone.

Great little Banjo-Uke
I bought this for my 9 year old grand son and he loves it. It is easy to set up and play. You only have to install bridge, but it comes with easy instructions. Haven't tried the electric pickup yet. Only draw back are the cheap quality strings that stretch badly and will take a while to keep in tune. Do yourself a favor, and purchase some quality banjo-uke strings that will hold tune better. This seems to be a quality built instrument for the money, and is easy for any musician level to handle. Great looking and great price. My son is an accomplished musician, and he was impressed with the quality of this instrument. Very satisfied with it.

Nice little cross between a Ukelele and a mini banjo
Neat little instrument, sounds like a cross between a banjo and a uke. It is quite small, about the size of a ukelele. Requires setup - because of the build though, no matter how you adjust the truss rod and floater bridge, the neck/strings will never align straight with the body, however, it doesn't really matter - it stays in tune alright and plays pretty well (i.e. the neck is not bowed so much as it just cannot align straight with the body, however, it really doesn't matter based on its design). It's a four string not five, so you can decide how you want to tune it... more like a banjo just without the top string or like a ukelele (or guitar standard tuning but with the 3rd-6th four strings). The strings that come with it are all nylon which you can of course change to part steel and part nylon or even all steel, if you have or want to purchase other strings. It comes with some other goodies like a cheap but usable pickup if you want to plug it in, picks including a couple of felt picks, a nice strap, a very basic but totally usable tuner and more... check the item description. I'm a mediocre guitar player of 30 years and I like it a lot actually. It's nice if you want to add a little banjo/uke sound to a few songs in your band, or you would like to try the banjo but don't want to spend the money on a full size (it doesn't come with any tuning or playing instructions, just setup instructions, so depending on your level of knowledge, you may need to lookup the different methods to tune a banjoele / banjo). Keep in mind the frets are very close together, so it might be difficult if you have larger fingers. The action is pretty good even in higher positions, especially considering what I stated above about the alignment. Down the board it gets a little tighter between frets though and they're already spaced

Big value in a little banjo
I bought this little dude two and a half years ago, but waited to write my review. Outstanding intonation after I replaced the strings. Unfortunately, the tuning pegs are the weakest link. They started getting sloppy after about six months. I'd never played banjolele or uke, or banjo until I purchased this. It was a therapy goal of mine to learn a new skill. I've gotten sooo freakin good! Little banjo buddy has held up well, other than the crappy tuners. It's still playable and remains in tune, now that my new strings are broken in. I love this little fella! After 2.5 years, I still play everyday. I'd recommend purchasing a capo for this. Playing in the same key, at different places on the neck, this guy shows versatility. This is a pretty versatile instrument. Whether playing rhythm in a Dixieland band or singing the hymn at my gramma's funeral, this banjo can wail! Excellent value, excellent experience. God bless and Go Ducks!

Nice Quality
This is my third Kmise Uke and I have been pleased with them all. Especially considering the price. I wanted a banjolele but as it was going to be a secondary instrument I didn't want to spend a lot on it. My previous experience with Kmise and the fact it was on a flash sale made this one very attractive. The instrument delivered was as expected and nicely done. It played well out of the box. Like all nylon stringed instruments it will take a while before it holds tune well. And you should know that with all floating bridge instruments it may take a bit of fiddling with the bridge to get the intonation right. Kmise includes a nice plastic gauge to help you get the bridge in the right place. But final adjustment will take a bit of fusing with the bridge and your tuner. My other two Kmise Ukes are baritone sized tenors and I play them daily. Once they were tweaked a bit they hold tune nicely and fun to play. Will consider more from this company in the future.

Not For Beginners
UPDATE: I still stand by my statement that beginners should pass on this. BUT, this could be a fun instrument for intermediate and advanced players. It took me close to an hour to make the adjustments necessary for this instrument to be playable. Once I got all the strings off, the tuning peg for the A string was the only one that was loose. Once I opened it up, I noticed there was quite a bit of debris that was most likely accumulated from the machining process. That's a QC issue with the company that made the tuners although I feel that whomever assembled the instrument should have caught it and corrected. Overall, I think it's a decent buy for the price. Yes, I had to spend some time to make it playable, but now that it's set up properly, I'm happy with it. I will probably still replace the tuners somewhere down the road but once I had a look at the guts, it doesn't seem to be as urgent as I had originally thought. If it had come out of the box in this condition, I would have rated it a 4 or 5, but with the time I had to put into it, the broken strap button, and my initial disappointment from how it came out of the box, I have to give it a 3. First of all, this instrument is not for beginners. It's a beautiful instrument but it requires too much work out of the box for a beginner. Things went wrong right away. Loved the look of the strap and the material BUT it takes some work to get the buttons through the holes to the point where the brad on one of the buttons broke trying to get it through the hole. It actually made it possible to get it through the hole and then crimped it back in place with pliers. It seems to be holding well for now. You'll learn the value of stretching your strings with this instrument. It was impossible to tune out of the box. At first, I thought maybe the electronic tuner was junk but I tried it on my other ukes and double-checked the tuning with my Snark and the tuner that's included is above average. I sat the instrument down for a few seconds to go grab a capo and the A string broke(which seems to be a recurring theme). That's due to them not being strung properly by the manufacturer, they're wound too tight at the tuning peg. Upside to the A string breaking, it gave me a chance to check the tuning peg. The tuning pegs are junk. Kudos to you if you get one and can keep it in tune. The pegs are too loose and since they're closed, not easy to adjust. I plan to swap them out with a set of quality, open-gear pegs. I'm giving this a one-star so people will read the review but I would actually rate it 2 stars. As mentioned earlier, it is a beautiful instrument, has great sound, and the wood grain is gorgeous. With a little work and $10-$20 for better parts, I think I can turn it into a 4 star instrument. And the pickup that is included is a decent little pickup. If you're a beginner, this is not the instrument for you. Spend a little more money and get a Gold Tone Little Gem or a base level Oscar Schmitt. They're not that much more expensive but will be less hassle for you out of the box. If you decide to go ahead and give it a try, I recommend re-stringing it before you do anything else. Replace the tuners if needed and enjoy.

Banjolele
El banjo es precioso. Tiene el tamaño de un ukulele concierto. Yo nunca había tocado un banjo, así que no sé que tan valida es mi opinión, pero suena muy bien y me parece de buena calidad. Trae todo lo que dice la imagen.

Grreat banjo uke..
It is a great instrument, however for me I prefer the tenor size, I have a tenor already and that size was unfortunately out of stock. That is the only reason I returned it. For the price great value 10/10

Excellent banjolele
Great quality for an Amazon instrument! Looks and sounds like an expensive, quality banjolele! Loved that it came with a cool strap and with felt picks and a pickup. My husband, who bought ot for me, and who is an experienced musician even thought it was surprisingly good for the low price. Just wanted to note, that a reviewer claimed the strings are too close to the instrument to be able to play it. They are not! I suspect that they simply did not install the BRIDGE, which is included in the package and you need to assemble yourself lol. Put the bridge on properly and it plays beautifully. Did not detect any sharp edges that some others mentioned either. I love my banjolele, would recommend it to others!
