Got this to replace the rusted out, thin ash pan/grate that came with the grill. This is very heavy duty, thick stainless that will probably last longer than the rest of the grill! It fit right into my Royal Gourmet offset smoker/grill - just a little (maybe 1/8" tight). The edges come right up to the sides of the grill so no more chasing charcoal that falls between the ash pan and the side of the grill. The only minor thing is (as somebody else mentioned), the handles that come with it don't fit on the hangers on my grill (handles are too wide), but the handles that came with the grill work fine with this grate. Very pleased (got a great "used" deal at almost 50% off!)!

I bought this item as an accessory for my offset smoker. My pit did not include an ash pan when purchased. The unit is of superior quality as compared to that those sold as original equipment/replacement by the some grill manufacturers. (I've owned multiple Char-Griller brand grills that included similar ash pans.) The metal is heavier (more substantial) and the workmanship is likewise, superior. I am satisfied with this purchase.

It was just what I needed. A well built and although it is a little early to tell, I really think that will last longer than the carbon steel trays that I have used in the past.

My old ash pan was nearly completely disintegrated, this, along with a fresh coat of paint on the exterior, makes my grill look and perform like new again. I cannot speak to the overall durability, since I just started using this, but it seems to be very high quality, maybe even better than the original, and it works great!

Stainless steel and more durable than I thought for the price. I liked the idea of no rust
