Good for 9mm, no pitting at 5-15 yards
Got 4/6/8 inch gongs for 9mm pistol at 5-15 yards, no pitting. They are cheaper than the vast majority of AR500 gongs out there and for my use they work fine.

Works great.
Nice and heavy. Works as a target should. 5.56 and various handguns. Paint obviously chips but a quick touch up and itโs good as new.

good product
Great product. .308(175 grain) only scratches it at 100 and 200 yrds.

4" Steel Plate Should Be Thicker
Good set but the 4" steel plate has to be bolted or attached in a way that does not involve popular hook systems at each chain's hanging point. You can't use open ended hooks like "Fullbow" or "Hang and Hook" systems to hang the chains for that target (for quick change or target turnaround ability) because the plate is too light and the chain will fly off one of your two hooks when hit with a 9mm or anything bigger at reasonable handgun target distances (10 - 30 yards). I do acknowledge that the plates are advertised as 3/8" thick (which they indeed are) but the manufacturers should be aware that the smaller plate flails around too much upon impact for lack of total weight. If they made it a little thicker, it would have more heft to absorb the impact and stay connected whether the chains holding it were bolted OR hooked to a target frame. The 6" and 8" plates you can chain up to hook systems with no issues. They have enough weight to keep the chains they are attached to from working themselves off the hooks when hit. It's just the 4" plate that isn't weighty enough and in my opinion should have been made thicker to compensate. I think most of the hook system manufacturers intend for you to hook the targets directly to the hooks, which might reduce target movement after impact. The problem there is that the hooks aren't very long. Even an accomplished target shooter will have an errant shot now and then and your target will be too close to your frame. It won't take long for you to shoot the frame itself and if that happens a few times, you're back at the hardware store buying more 1.25" steel tubing or pipe and re-doing the entire frame. The ideal setup is to give your target some distance from the frame by chaining the targets with a foot or so of chain on each side and then hooking the ends of each chain on the hooks. That's what I did and again, it worked like a charm for the 6" and 8" targets but the 4" just flailed so much that one of the chains unattached from the hooks every single time it was hit. The "fix" involved using baling wire where the chains meet the hooks for just that target but it's less than ideal as again, I can't quickly change out or reverse the target.

Highly recommended they worked great
I was very impressed with these. They held their shape very well with every shot and the only thing that made a dent was a 308 win round from about 10 ft away. But still no penetration. Made shooting very fun for everybody
