Review: I got this book to help study for the GISP. It is an excellent resource for all things GIS and takes you through pretty much everything related to the subject. Lots of great examples and illustrations. I keep it at work now as a reference.

Using this textbook for my Masters program. Explanations on difficult content are clear and the overall style of writing keeps you engaged but not too flashy or dramatic. Covers a lot of information regarding maps in general and GIS.

This book comprehensively covers all aspects of G.I.S. And despite being a previous edition is very much current with regards to it's contents.
