Upgrading older townhome
I have an older model town home with light switches placed in the most random / inconvenient places. So I decided to try these and this is the best decision ever. I can make light groups to control the lights together and turn them on / off with one click from my phone. I got my bedroom together now I'm going to put these throughout my entire home. Great product. The app pairing didn't go 100% smoothly especially with creating groups but I got it eventually.

Excellent inexpensive way to have mood lighting for each holiday
Excellent lights for holiday and everyday use. I'm using them to program different light patterns outside during each holiday of the year. It's fun and easy to set up and adjust. I'm looking forward to trying different shades, patterns and combinations. Great for my outdoor use. Between holidays, I just have it be plain white outside lighting, but it's fund to have the variety. Cheap and easy way to decorate and set the moods with lighting.

Almost perfect.
The lights were easy to set up, and the app works well. Something like Phillips Hue may have more features, but you're also paying more for it. These are great budget friendly alternatives. My only complaints, and why I can't give five stars, is the Alexa integration. Within the app, I can set effects such as strobe, or have the bulbs change from one color to the next at my desired speed. However, even though I can say things like, "Alexa, set all light to blue." I cannot say, "Alexa, turn on strobe." I emailed Feit about this, hoping I was just using the wrong commands, and they replied saying it wasn't a feature. Also, some smart bulbs out there, including these, have an issue with Alexa routines in terms of setting brightness. The colors tend to not respond. For those who don't know, when setting a routine action, you select smart home, the bulb you want to respond, and are giving three things: turn on/off, set brightness, and change color. At first I would make sure the brightness setting was checked, and set bulb to 100% brightness. However, the bulb will often not respond to the change color step. If I had a routine that set all lights to red, one or more bulbs will not change at all. You have to UNCHECK the brightness setting. A small hassle because if you previously had dimmed lights, you have to take an extra step to adjust the lights to full brightness with another command.

Works great! Reliable brand!
Feit Electric is a reliable brand and does work with Alexa as well as the Feit App. I Bought another brand previously that no longer works with Alexa Skills and I had to discard them.

Terrible! Constantly losing connection.
Review for Feit Electric BR30 Smart LED Light Bulbs, 65W Equivalent These bulbs are terrible. We bought 5 of these and they constantly lose connection, so when you turn on the lights they start blinking. To reconnect, you have to open the app and go thru the set up connection process, which on a positive note, the app recognizes the bulbs are offline and tries to reconnect them. This takes between 1-5 minutes per bulb and most often ends with “failed to reconnect”. This means you have to quit the app and start again. another 1-5 minutes per bulb. But remember, the lights are constantly flashing during this entire time. We’ve had neighbors contact us to make sure everything is alright in our house, cause they just see the constant flashing of lights in the house and think we’re in distress. Most of the lights in the house are the hue bulbs with a bridge, the hue bulbs are great, never had an issue with those. Save yourself the headache and eye strain, and go for a different smart bulb, don’t settle for these feit bulbs.

Remarkably Versatile, Great Adjustments (but can't dim them from the light switch though)
I got two of these to replace the bulbs that are in ceiling cans above my Plasma TV on the wall. The idea was to darken the area around the TV, while allowing the rest of the lights in the room to be on (it's an old plasma . . . . works best in dimmed light these days). Works like a charm! I love the no-hub idea. And what was super surprising is just how versatile these things are. Via the app and Alexa (which works really well, btw), you can dim the bulbs, you can change their temperature, even can change their color. Plus you can create groups (mine is "TV Lights") to control different sets of lights. Also, you can set up "themes", so you can name a theme, add a group or groups of lights to that theme, and then via alexa just say that name, and the lights come on at preset dim, on/off, temp and color. It's awesome - light bulbs taken to their logical and full conclusion. The only issue I've found is you can't dim them from your wall switch - they'll start to stutter and flash. You have to dim them from the app or with Alexa. since I've mixed "dumb" LEDs with these new nifty bulbs, I need to use the switch dimmer to tone down the "dumb" bulbs, which makes the clever bulbs stutter/flash. It's totally work-around-able but it they could dim via the switch without flashing, it would make them fully perfect (instead they're just 99.9% perfect). At around $15 each, I'm thinking of just doing all of the bulbs in the room, but that adds significant cost relatively speaking (I'd need to get 4 more, so that means $60 more to replace otherwise just fine existing LEDs lights that probably have at least a decade left on them, if not two decades - they really do not burn out, after six years zero need replacement so far!) All in all, these are fantastic, really well thought out.

Bulb itself is okay, but rethink its use
The bulb is fine as a light bulb, but I assume that if you buy a BR30 light bulb, it will go into a recessed unit. Well, the problem is that most recessed units are made of some type of metal, and they may even have a second layer of metal from the trim. Guess what happens if you have a cheapo wi-fi radio surrounded by two layers of metals? Yeah, the signal sucks. The bulb works fine outside the can, but inside the can the signal vanishes (from about -88 Db to non-existent) Maybe some people have plastic cans, or have the can within feet of their router. But for most of us, this is just a bad idea that can only end in frustration.
