NUTRISCA Potato-Free Dry Dog Food for All Life Stages, Salmon Recipe, 15 lb.

Our pup has been on Nutrisca for many years. She liked the salmon flavor, which unfortunately is no longer available. We tried a completely different product from another company and it didn't work for her. Then we found this on Amazon: Dosgwell Nutrisca Skin & Coat Dry Dog Food, High Protein Trout & Sweet Potato Recipe. She loves it. And even better, it agrees with her system and her coat is shinier than ever.

My dog, Penny, is allergic to all the ingredients in traditional store-bought dog food (chicken, beef, corn, wheat...). Penny is also a finicky eater, so it's difficult to entice her. But Nutrisca Salmon and Chickpea is something she'll eat, and I'm pretty sure that it has reduced her allergic symptoms (but not eliminated them). My guess is that she is also allergic to environmental factors. I can't say that I would eat this stuff, but Penny seems to like it.That's important, because Penny works hard doing important work. She is a Cockapoo; her looks lean toward the Cocker side (unusual for Cockapoos; they generally lean toward the Miniature Poodle side). But. she has the Miniature Poodle smarts! Within three days of coming to her forever home with me, she began communicating "something" I had to figure out. It took me several weeks to "get it" -- she knew that I have a severe inner ear condition called Meniere's Disease, which causes disabling vertigo, nausea and vomiting. It has disabled me from the workforce and, before Penny came along, it had caused me to hole myself up at home because I was afraid to go out walking or with the car, not knowing if an episode would come on. But by the sixth week of living with me, Penny made it clear that she could give me a 2- to 2-1/2-hour warning that a Meniere's episode was coming on! Since she "taught" me that she could do this, she has never been wrong and she has never missed an episode -- and I have a lot of episodes! That's one smart cookie and one hard-working Cockapoo. She deserves Nutrisca Salmon and Chickpea to keep her allergies at bay as much as possible. Penny likes it, so Penny will get it. Thanks, Dogswell, for Nutrisca Salmon and Chickpea.

I can't say enough good things about this dog food. In fact, I have reviewed the Nutrisca Chicken and Chick Pea in the past and can now say, both my dogs - a German Shepherd Dog and Welsh Corgi - love the Salmon variety as well. Both the Chicken and Salmon are very high quality dog foods that my dogs thrive on. Before Nutrisca, I tried many high quality, limited ingredient brands but with all the others, one or both of my dogs did not tolerate them and suffered from allergic reactions, yeast issues, skin rashes, loose stools, etc. Within a few weeks of feeding this dog food, both of my dogs developed clear skin, good stools and shiny coats - and I know they are getting proper nutrition. I highly recommend this grain free and potato free product for anyone struggling with a dog allergy. Give it try, like I did. It is expensive, but in the end, with all the ailments gone, it pays for itself and my dogs are healthy and happy. It is definitely worth the price and I have found I can feed a little less because of the nutrition value and quality.

Nutrisca Salmon and Chickpea Recipe is a better than average dry dog food. I've tried several brands of salmon kibble, and my dogs really like this. This particular product seems to have healthier ingredients than most dog food. I feel the salmon helps their coats and skin, and it seems to reduce itchiness. I've noticed that I feel better when my diet includes lots of salmon and berries and no grains or potatoes, and the same seems to be true for my dogs when they eat kibble based on this diet. This is probably because it is a low-glycemic diet rich in omega 3's and antioxidants.I'm so glad Amazon carries this so I don't have to lug 15 pounds of dog food home on the bus. As an added bonus, my dogs have suddenly become very friendly to all delivery drivers and mail carriers -- just in case they are bringing dog food! :-)

I am very impressed with this food. I finally have a food that all my dogs can eat. I even give to my diabetic Pom who is 12 years old. I read the reviews and decided to try her with this. She acts and feels like a different dog. She is her old self again jumping all over the place. Her hair is coming back and she is happy again. She takes two shots a day of insulin. She was looking so pathetic on the Hills Science Diet WD that I had to try to help her. The sugar is low in this food so hope she continues to feel better on this. It agrees with all my dogs. The price is a little high but want to give my pups the best.

Very high quality food. I have used Blue Wilderness and Welness Core and both those caused my pup to have really bad gas. I found a 4 lb bag of this at my grocer in the Lamb formula and he too to it like it was laced with crack. His gas cleared up and his coat is really nice. I bought this fish formula to try and he doesn't like it as much flavor wise. I researched the 5 star dog foods and this is one of them. I think maybe the lack of potatoes might be the thing. I will buy again but the Lamb formula from now on.

Great product! I have a 1 1/2 year old pug and she is very sensitive to certain dog food brands. After about a year of home cooked dog food, I found out that she is highly sensitive to grains and potatoes. I decided to give this brand a try with her because it is potato- and grain-free. The price for the 15 lb bag is definitely a win. I've tried several dog food brands when I decided to bring her back to prepackaged dog food, and I'm definitely happy with this one! The price is right, the quality is great and it ships pretty fast!
