I love to bake and have both vanilla extract., as well as OliveNation's Pure Cherry Extract, in my pantry. My opinion is to follow the recipe for the Red Velvet cake. But, if you're adventurous person, make it both ways and see which one you prefer. By the way, I've added this cherry extract to Devil's Food cake , as well as to chocolate pudding and both are great.
