National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation Griswold Moose Mugs – Holiday Drinkware Set, Movie Collectible Cups, Gag Gift, White Elephant for Adults Kids and Family - 8 oz glass

Firstly, they arrived fully intact, which was a relief, given they travelled from the US to South Africa. They are fairly well packaged in moulded polystyrene holders inside their storage boxes. The two mugs I purchased were packed in another larger box, but honestly could have had some additional brown paper cushioning, as the outer box did have some bashed and crumpled areas. Luckily, all was intact though! For the price, these mugs are just look fantastic; a decent size, quality seems great with good finishing and really do mimic the classic ones used in Christmas Vacation. Over the moon with the purchase of my two and will be using them within the next week or so for our first egg-nog batch this year! Thank you!

Years back, we were at a fund raiser event that was playing the classic National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation with a personal intro from Chevy Chase (prerecorded) and they were selling these very units to raise money for the local shelter. They had signed glasses by the actor for an extra donation. Not wanting to ruin the signed pair, I got a few of these for seasonal use and they're the exact same as the signed merch at the fund raiser. These are as much of "the real deal" as you're going to find to the original props in the movie. They're full glass and have a decent amount of heft to them, giving the impression the mug will standup to normal use vs those meant to stay on display only. Be mindful that there's only one "handle" (antler) attach point vs regular mug handles that have two, so reasonable care should be taken when holding, especially for cleaning. I can't speak to the volume of each mug that others have noted, but the "nose" is hollow and holds liquid. I'd say it's a proper serving for eggnog, and I have no complaints about the amount. One word of caution is that the nose is hollow as I stated, so be sure to have a foam brush with a flexible handle. It's not too difficult to get clean, but there will be units lost to the sink from aggressive cleaners (people).

It’s a Christmas vacation glass mug, opposed to the acrylic or plastic ones, so it’s great for any fan of the movie. I bought it for my husband and I order a few from time to time and will do so until he has a full set.

They had this packaged so nicely. It is like the pic. and looks exactly like the movie version. There were others that looked off..like the nose was small and the eyes bulgy. But this does have the big nose and good antlers on him. My daughters gonna love it!! Cheers!!

I don't often veer towards "Officially Licensed" merchandise, but with subpar knockoffs rampant, I found the details and build of these National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation Moose Mugs to be a choice of one in channeling either my inner Clark Griswold or Cousin Eddie. Observations: (1) Their "moose face" is top shelf, with a protruding snout, soft eyes, and symmetrical antlers. (2) They're thick glass -- non-licensed versions paradoxically boast of an acrylic build, which suit a child's drink receptacle. (3) They're 8 ounces, and scaled to how they appear in the movie; others max out at an undersized 4.5 ounces. (4) While I sip eggnog in homage to Chevy Chase and Randy Quaid, they also mimic the 8-ounce pour of high ABV craft beer. (5) Sadly, the seller affixed the shipping label to the product box -- communicate with them in advance if gifting. To acquire the iconic, sometimes we have to ante up: These aren't cheap, but if you're a stickler for details, then they're still a great value. - (Was this review of use? I gave two of these to my wife after watching "Christmas Vacation" and hearing her say that she liked the glasses they were drinking out of. She loved the gift. We commented that they would make us smile during the year when things did not go as well as planned! I ordered these with my new Prime Membership's two-day free shipping at 11pm on December 23rd, assuming that they would arrive on December 26. To my delight, they arrived on the morning of December 24th. I am still not quite sure how they did that. They arrived less than 12 hours after I ordered them. They are high quality and made of glass. They only hold 6 ounces, but I knew that and I think if they were any bigger the antlers would be too wide. The only reason that I gave it four stars instead of five was the price. They are expensive, but still fun. Do note that they are not recommended to go into the dishwasher.

Bought for my husband as a birthday gift since he loves the movie. He just started liking egg nog the last few years and when I saw a friend with one, I knew I had to find one for my husband. He was so happy and surprised when he opened it... now he needs to go find some egg nog so he can use it! I ordered this one because it's glass. The downside is it's hand wash only.

Just when you thought eggnog couldn’t get any better!! Made our Christmas!

This was Christmas present for my mum who is a huge fan of National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation. She loved the glass reindeer (the liquid fills the reindeer nose). She was impressed with extras especially the santa hat which is of high quality. Thank you.
