I have bought three self-stirring coffee mugs and for the most part, they are junk. This one with its magnetic spinner is a piece of junk. I URGE ALL OF YOU TO NOT BUY THIS TYPE OF MUG, with the magnetic spinner. The reason I say this is because when you use it for the first time it works ok, but after a few days the batter strength weakens the magnetic spinner to the point where the white plastic spinner completely loses it's magnetic field properties and is pretty much useless to use. I will say the cup is made very well but I did not buy it because it's built well, I bought it to stir my morning coffee. DON'T BUY THIS CUP IT'S CRAP.George...

I bought this for a white elephant gift. It was very popular! When I said it stirs with a touch of a button, many people smiled and said you shouldn't have said that because now everybody's going to want it. They were right, but I did end up taking it home thanks to a very thoughtful person.This is a game changer! I can't stop using this mug. I've used it for coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and Eggnog so far. The batteries go on the bottom and the SEAL over them is EXCELLENT. It's not dishwasher safe, but it is so EASY TO CLEAN. I just wash it by hand and let it air dry. The seal does not let any water get in where the batteries are kept. It keeps my drinks hot for a while too. It's nice not having to get-up-and-get a spoon and stir it because things settle to the bottom of your mug. All you do is push the little button on the top of the handle for just a few seconds and you're good to go. I recommend pouring powders like hot chocolate in first then add your liquid. Make sure the stir piece is in the mug before you add the powder. The little piece that stirs is magnetic so you just drop it in the mug and it goes right where it belongs. I don't recommend cleaning the magnetic piece over an open drain because it is small. They make great gifts. Thank you.

I really loved the idea of a self stirring coffee mug. When I first received the mug it wasn't fully assembled like they forgot to put the cover on the on/off button and just threw it in the box. So I put the button cover on and installed the batteries and it worked great. I've had it now for almost two weeks and the on/off button has started to fail, at this point I'm having to push the button 5-10 times before it will turn on. I've checked the batteries and they are good but the button still fails to function properly. I just cancelled my second order, I'm not giving one of these as a gift to anyone.

The stirring ability works when the cup is empty, but as soon as something is in the cup, turning on the stirring throws the magnet to the side wall of the cup, eliminating the functionality. To make it work, I've got to add the powders to the bottom around the edges so they don't cover the magnet, and as soon as the hot water begins to drip, start the stirring and keep it stirring until the brewing is done. Once I stop it, it won't restart until the cup is re-emptied, so stirring after it's sat awhile or if I miss the beginning of the brew process means it won't stir at all. I'll try to update with a video, plain water seems to stir making catching on video difficult. But when real contents (cloudy) it won't stir unable to video showing the problem.

I liked first the appearance, second, the liquid is always warm to hot, regardless of the length of time that it's been in the cup, and third, it's easy to clean, without disturbing the stirrer located inside of it. However, the top is very loose, and comes off easily. Still, it's not a big issue, and well worth gifting. When you put the top on the cup, it usually remains. You just need to be careful that you don't get it hooked or caught, because it comes off easily. I use it daily. Stopped working after a few uses. I would not buy again, nor would I recommend it to anyone. I have a cup that I've had for a few years, and it still spins, and the batteries last for a long time.

bought this product mainly for hot chocolate and cider where you have to keep staring or you end up with goo in bottom of cup. it took a little getting used to but it actually works very well. just hit button and it stirs up the liquid together. it is not the best made mug but for the price the quality is fine. would recommend this mug

I bought this cup for my husband because he enjoys having hot chocolate during the winter. He loves it! I wish I had gotten one for myself before they sold out. Hopefully I’ll get one for Valentine’s Day as I have “subtly” hinted I’d like one.

I purchased one mug for work, and it operates fine. I bought another one from home and it is completely defective. Like the other reviewers have shown, the magnet spins out of the center when liquid is poured into the mug.

Once you added any form of liquid , the little stirer would flip to the side and was useless.

I wish it was bigger deeper
