We live in a fairly small condo that has a combo living room / dining room (and we put my home office in the dining room as well) with an eight-foot wide sliding glass door at one end. Arranging our furniture was a bit of a challenge. When we first moved in, we decided that we would put our tv cabinet in front of one half of the sliding glass door since that side doesn't open. That worked fine, but it made the room feel kind of dark... even more so after we tinted the windows to keep the hot Arizona summer heat out. I had my eye on this tv cart for a while and when it went on sale, I finally ordered it. I am soooooo glad I did! This thing is AWESOME!! It was very easy to assemble. It was very easy to attach our tv to it. Probably the hardest part for us was moving everything out of the way (rememeber... it's a small condo, so not much extra room) so we could move it into place. We opted not to put the wheels on at this time because we didn't want it digging into the carpet and we weren't planning on moving it around a whole lot. We mainly needed it so we could lower the tv automatically when not in use during the day. We have the #1 and #2 buttons programmed for the perfect viewing and hiding heights. All we have to do is push a button in the evening when we're ready to watch tv and it raises into position. Then, when we're ready for bed, we push the other button, and it lowers back down behind the cabinet. It's very quiet too. I have included photos of the tv up and down, as well as a photo of the cart and tv behind the cabinet for an idea of how much space it takes up. We may add a nice board on top to finish it out so it looks more complete in the down position. There are brackets included with it to do so. If you're on the fence about ordering this... DO IT! It's a really nice, heavy duty tv stand. NOTE: Our tv is a 55" one. The cabinet in front of it is just under 38" tall. The feet/legs of the stand sit perfectly under the cabinet. They would also fit fine if we would've put the wheels on it.

Perfect, very quiet lift at a very good price. It was very easy to install in the box and works very well since over 2 years now. The TV is protected and out of sight when not in use.

This TV lift was easy to install and set up. My install took somewhat over an hour. I did not install the lift in a cabinet. The lift works very quietly and smoothly. It allows the TV to be concealed by any piece of furniture that is tall enough and wide enough to cover the TV when the lift is lowered. Clearance between the wall and freestanding furniture will depend on your TV, but should probably not be less than 10 inches.TV mounting is adjustable to most any height required to be hidden depending on the size of the TV. Because the minimum height is 31 1/2 inches if the top of your TV is below the top of the lift, it will be hidden. My TV is a 43" and is easily hidden behind my electric fireplace. The flat lid attachment allows a cover to be attached to hide the mechanism when the TV is lowered. The flat lid attachment is sturdy enough and the lift motion smooth enough to allow items placed on the lid to remain in place when the TV is raised and lowered. With the memory buttons on the wired remote you can set a stopping point for raising and a stopping point for lowering. The wireless remote will then recognize those points and raise to the upper point and stop and lower to the lower point and stop. I set the stopping point for lowering to be flush with the top of the fireplace and it works perfectly. I am very pleased with this lift. It does exactly what I wanted and I felt the price was extremely reasonable. CAUTION: The manual supplied with the unit - at least with mine - shows the lid attachment plate attached directly to the top of the lift column. This is not correct. There is a C-shaped bracket that attaches to the lift column to which the attachment plate is attached. Because of this confusion, I returned the first lift I purchased thinking I received the wrong item, especially since what I took to be the item number on the box did not seem match the item number I ordered. I discovered my error in viewing some other reviews with photos and immediately reordered.

We built a custom bookshelf and wanted the TV to lift in front of the shelves. The Valueline lift fit the need perfectly. It is solidly built and lifts a 55-inch TV quietly and smoothly. We built out a simple box from the back wall of the cabinet to move the lift in front of the bookshelves; fastening the lift to the box gives even better stability and allows space for shelves behind the stored TV. Instructions were easy to follow and all needed hardware was included. The only downside has been pointed out in other reviews regarding the lack of a memory for the down position. The included "C Bracket" is too short for the height of the cabinet. We have to manually stop it before it goes all the way to the bottom or the top shelf is out of alignment.

The first one i purchased did not want to lift more than about 20 lbs. no joke. It would lift up about an inch at a time and shut down. I ordered another one and this one seems to be working good. I hope i get a long life out of this one. Pretty easy to install, i didn't really use the instructions.. I went with a flat top lift. One of my only gripes is that the cord on the wired controller should have been about 5 feet longer. If it was than you could leave the control box, and the power supply box inside what ever cabinet you build, instead of having to have all of that outside the box/cabinet. Not the end of the world, its all tucked under my bed, but still, for $300.00 It would have been a little nicer and cleaner. All and all i'm happy so far, well... my wife is happy. Thats what counts.

Update: well I know it’s been almost 3 years since we purchased this but after all the other house projects we’ve been doing my husband finally got to building the cabinet for our TV to use this televator. It came out great and the instructions were easy to follow and they give you lots of different size screws to fit all different TVs. It works great except that we can’t use the wireless remote to move the tv up while it’s in the cabinet, I guess the wood blocks the infrared so we just use the wired remote. All in all it’s a great product and we love it. So far I’m very impressed with this product. We haven’t installed it in the cabinet yet that my husband is making for our TV but we tried it out and it’s super quiet and seems very sturdy. Will update my review after we install it to advise on the installation instructions and process.

Super smooth raising and lowering of our Samsung 55" TV. The lift is very heavy duty and virtually silent going up and down. We installed this lift to work with Alexa. The bad news is the Tuya app that coordinates with the lift is very unreliable. The good news is Alexa does work it every now and then. We are happy with the lift and would highly recommend it. When Alexa doesn't lift or lower we just use the remote. Having the TV hidden behind our Fireplace is brilliant. Awesome product.

easy to set up, flawless operation after 3 years of almost daily use, still going strong, with a fairly heavy plasma TV

The product is exactly what I was hoping for. Works perfect. I installed in ceiling between rafters in a plywood insulated box. My brother-in-law built the cover out of an aluminum plate with a small wheel welded to the back of the cover. I installed 2 springs to keep it tight to ceiling. The lift is very well built and all hardware was included. I recommend this high-end product.

Package arrived after almost 2 weeks and was not functioning when we installed it. We were extremely disappointed. Spoke to the company who were actually quite helpful and told us to just return it. We have returned it now and awaiting another one.
