Nostalgic, For a Different Reason
The Eda's website says you get 12 flavors in the Old Tyme Mix. My bag only had 8: Buttered Popcorn, Butterscotch, Chocolate, Cinnamon, Peppermint, Red Licorice, Root Beer and Spearmint. See attached photo and pardon my handwriting--I suspect if you're colorblind, you're going to get a lot of surprises around the red end of the spectrum. All of the flavors were tasty, but most of them were very weak, particularly Red Licorice and Chocolate. The Cinnamon was the first cinnamon candy or gum I can remember *not* having any heat at all; it was a very faint, mild cinnamon that reminded me of the cinnamon flavoring my family would put in taffy. The Chocolate is pleasant, which is unusual for artificial chocolate candy. With such odd flavors, however, having them not be strong leaves them almost literally at the tip of your tongue, trying to remember them. The mints and the Root Beer were the only ones that were immediately easy to pin. Let's talk texture and "other," as well as why I bought them. I've been a type I diabetic for more than 20 years, so I remember the time when sorbitol hard candies were pretty much your only option. I was in a nostalgic mood and remembered that I hadn't actually seen any sorbitol in a long time; doing some research, I found that even Sorbees are made with Splenda now! Eda's candies are the exact shape and size of the old Sorbees; strangely thin, with that almost powdered texture. They have the same mouthfeel and coolness as the sorbitol candies of my youth. Having grown up with sorbitol candies, I already knew better than to have too many at once, but five over the course of an evening didn't do anything untoward to my gut. Your bowels may vary. I don't think I'll buy this specific assortment again. I didn't want the candies for dry mouth, only for flavor, and the flavors would be interesting, if only they were stronger. The mints were pretty acceptable, so I'm toying with the idea of trying Eda's plain or sour fruit assortment--maybe they realized that Red Licorice was a strange flavor and "pulled their punches."

Really good sugar free candy
Product arrived on time and as described. The flavors are really good and so is the quality of the candy. Unlike most sugar free candies, these are full of flavor with no aftertaste. I ordered these several times and will again. They arrived in time and in perfect condition.

Not what I was expecting at all, they all taste pretty much the same
Not what I was expecting at all, they just taste like plain sweet nothing, they all taste about the same, there is no distinction between the different flavors not very flavorful at all in my opinion. I ate two and threw the rest away. Usually I would bring something I don't like and just set it in the break room at work but I don't think anyone would like them, so I just threw them away.

Smooth and Sweet !
I love the candy mix, all the flavors have a smooth sweet taste, almost forget that they are sugar free. The only negative about this candy is, certain ingredients in this candy will give you gas, so watch how many you eat at one time.

Skip this assortment, tropical better
I did not care at all for these flavors. Much better flavors in the standard and tropical mixes.

Aftertaste. Flavors off.
Candies are colorful but flavors are indistinct - except black licorice and root beer come thru often in flavoring; colors don't match up with flavors - e.g. purple was just sweet, bright green was mint rather than lime, red was black licorice. There is an after taste to these as well. I will definitely NOT buy again.
