My sister in law had one of these, it was her grandmothers. Hers is over 30 years old. We borrowed it to make fresh tortillas and papusas - worked great! Bought my own and now easily impressed my family with some very tasty homemade tortillas. I'm not very accomplished in the kitchen but this tool makes life simple and tasty.Though it is sturdy, my neurotic dog was left alone and pulled it off the pantry shelf. Since it is heavyish the 4 foot fall did brake the handle but I still use the press with my hands as the pressure. Works - may buy another in the near future and keep it in a safer spot. Love it! Family loves it. Super easy to assemble and use.

I got this ages ago and never had a chance to use it. I had difficulty finding organic masa, so it languished in my kitchen cupboard until now.I finally found a couple of organic masa brands, but by the time I put my order in I could only get the blue corn organic masa. So armed with five pounds of masa I have been making tortillas. And you know what? Making tortillas it’s not so easy as I thought it would be, but I’m getting the hang of it.This press has made it easier. It does the job. It’s made from aluminum so it won’t rust. So I am hoping for many years of tasty, fresh tortilla making.

So after probably close to 2 hours of reading reviews for a tortilla press, I decided on this one. I'm typically not that analytical but I hate making bad decisions. The bad decision I made here was spending 2 hours reading (and rereading) reviews, and now I'm writing my own review so go figure. Here's the thing, this works as intended. It's well made, and I think this is going to be around for awhile due to the heavy metal construction. You don't need much force to make a thin tortilla either, so if you had concerns about getting them thin enough, you won't have a problem with this one.

I bought this product. It was defective because the bolt did not fit. When I tried to close the press, it broke. I returned it and received a refund. However, it cost me $12 to return it which was not refunded. Therefore I paid $12 for a defective product which was returned.

This first press came with a manufacturing issue on it. I contacted the seller who quickly sent out a replacement. It is the perfect tortilla press. After researching many of them over the last few weeks before purchasing this one, I am sure this is the best and will last a lifetime. Well made, very heavy and makes the perfect tortilla. I am happy with this purchase and the seller was very easy to work with.

Very nice tortilla press. Fit and finish are excellent, only the handle needed to be attached when received and only took a couple of minutes. We grow our own corn and this press is going to get a lot of use. Fast shipping by the vendor is a plus, too.

This tortilla press does a great job for me. It is solid, heavy & reliable. It cranks out tortillas of uniform thickness & I have no complaints. If you want tortillas larger than 7" in diameter you'll need a different press.

I chose this press above others based on two factors: Reviews by other users and the fact it is made in Mexico. We are very pleased with the quality and the performance. Highly recommended!
