Getting started in SAP: How to transform your career and become a highly paid SAP expert

This was very helpful for me. I've had 4 different temp jobs where I used various SAP modules. I've already put into place some of his suggestions/advice. NOTE: His website he mentioned is no longer valid.

Easy to read, about 4 hours, with good tips on how to go about a career in SAP. Good start for anyone interested in getting started. Highly recommended.

Good honest advice

Not what I expected. This is a guide to update your resume and sell your SAP knowledge.

While the prose isn't exactly Hemmingway, the advice and counsel offerred is "pure crystal." Von Aspen takes you, the aspiring SAP professional, into his ivory tower chamber revealing everything that lies behind the kimono of a lucrative SAP post. The companion website offerred me the immediate gratification of testing out Von Aspen's wisdom in real time. With interview tips, template letters, and compensation maximizers, this book is destined to find its way into the libraries of those committed to getting a career in SAP.

A great book for anyone who wants to learn how to break into the SAP world or discover strategies to move their consulting career to to the next level. It gives real world job advice not found elsewhere. The book explains what kind of careers there are in SAP, discusses SAP projects and roles, and what hiring managers are looking for on resumes and during interviews. The author has been that hiring manager so he knows what he is talking about.

Having recently joined the ranks of the unemployed, and considering how best to take my career forward, I decided to buy this book on the recommendation of a friend. One of the most lucrative career paths that you can follow in the IT industry is to specialise in packaged software such as SAP, Murex, Calypso, PeopleSoft, etc. SAP stands out as the product with the biggest worldwide market share and adoption across the greatest number of industries. This book sets out to explain what types of jobs exist in the SAP marketplace, how to get SAP on your CV (even if you have no previous experience), how to build your skills and marketability in SAP, and how to increase your market value over time. The book lends its credibility from the fact that the author has a successful 17 year career in SAP behind him and worked himself up from a graduate-level position to a highly-paid independent contractor. Aside from the SAP-specific parts, there was a surprising but welcome amount of very practical advice in the book on how to optimise your CV and maximising your chances for getting invited to an interview. Even though I’m far from a novice in the IT industry, I went back to make some very useful changes to my CV based on the recommendations in this book and have seen an immediate uptick in the amount of interviews I have been invited for. Highly recommended.
