Cambro (RFS2PP190 2 Qt. Round Polypropylene Food Storage Container - Camwear

When making bread you are supposed to.let dough double in size. I didn't understand the advantage of having a straight sided container for this until I saw a YouTube video on it. The straight sides enable an accurate measurement that you can't get with a bowl or sloped sides. The measurement markings on the sides of this container give useful points of reference too. It is well made, nice and sturdy, small enough for one or two loaves of dough and easy to wash. It does not come with a lid but I use plastic shower cap like covers so that is fine for me.

0 Stars... These are TINY!! Total false advertising, no way these actually hold 2 liters. ALSO... When I ordered I read the description and it did say that it came with LIDS (I was SURE of this because I saw in a couple reviews the lids were missing) So after confirming it came with lids, I ordered them and they DID NOT come with lids. When I went to get product support, I was directed to call Cambro so I did and they said they can't do anything & that they've been getting a number of calls over Amazon not ordering the lids for these orders. They said I needed to contact Amazon. When I called Amazon, they said it doesn't come with lids & that I have to order those separately (EVEN THOUGH THEY ARE CALLED FOOD STORAGE CONTAINERS). While I was on the phone with Amazon, I went back to read the description and it totally changed and no where could i find that lids were included. These are SO overpriced for what you get & I feel totally scammed & gaslit by Amazon.

The product itself is great, it is the advertising that is very misleading. If the lid is not included with the container WHY show the container with the lid or specifically state in the listing that the lid is not included. Looks like false advertisement.

I got one of these (2 qt) a few months ago after already owning two larger sizes which I like. This 2 qt is really the perfect size for my needs, cleans up nicely, especially after storing greasy foods, and seems to fit better in my fridge than the old Tupperwares in stock. My only complaint is that THE LID IS SOLD SEPARATELY, which I didn't notice at first, although I got a lid in a couple days with PRIME. Anyhow, I just finished ordering some for my kids, plus a second for myself. I really like Cambro. By the way, somebody commented that the lid doesn't snap on. It does, but you have to whack it sharply with your fist.

I typically make high hydration dough and the ability to see and measure when the dough changes after folds and stretching is crucial. In addition, this allows one to accurately measure when the dough has doubled Great proct. Lid snaps on well I bought one like this 2 yrs ago and it was used 1-3 x a week for two yrs when I gave it to a friend who wanted to learn to make bread I have a taller one but I like this size for my needd

I assumed this container would have a lid. How do I order the lid?

When it said “storage” container, I think most would assume the container has a lid! Disappointed as it was hard to tell in the photo that there isn’t a lid, and never said lid is extra. Feel a little fooled.

I thought this would hold more. Think I was fooled by the pictures. Maybe I thought 1L would hold more? Seems silly, but this was way smaller than I thought. Especially for the price. The 2qt was $4 cheaper.

I am using this container, and its associated lid (separate purchase) to bulk ferment my bread dough. This container is well built and should last me many years. Great Product!

Excellent - made well perfect for proofing sourdough. I bought the lid separately and together makes the perfect proofing bowl and many other uses.
