Honda CG125 1976 - 2007: 1976 to 2007 (Haynes Service and Repair Manuals) Hardcover – Import, September 10, 2008

This is ok if you have an older CG as the first 6 chapters have that covered but newer CGs are stuffed into the last chapter. Lots of stuff is the same between the models but it means skipping back and forth between the first chapters and chapter 7 to figure out what to do. Also I wrongly assumed this would suit a beginner to bike mechanics but would probably be more useful to a real mechanic as a lot of knowledge is assumed.

What can you say about a Haynes manual: I have bought one of these for every vehicle I have owned. They are different from actual workshop manuals, but are a teaching tool, in some respects, rather than a breakdown of parts, made for amateurs rather than professionals. This manual is pretty comprehensive and does the job well: I wouldn't be without one. I haven't found any inaccuracies up to now, but it can be a task to find the right model where variations exist. Nevertheless, this manual does a good job of guiding you through almost every service job you are likely to do.

This book is described as a hard cover. It is NOT. The pages are very easily torn. There was a time when quality was the watchword with Haynes manuals. I guess from this production it has sadly disappeared. I have sent this book back twice because of this. DON'T BUY IT. It's just not worth the paper it's written on.

Buyers have complained about this book being described as "hardback" since March 2017 and still Amazon have done nothing about it. It is a "paperback" flimsy copy, not hardback as described, and it won't last long in the garage/workshop. Read it at the kitchen table and try to remember everything before you start work. Come on Amazon, you ask for reviews and then ignore the complaints, just won't do!

Very god manual. Helped me service my own bike with some degree of confidence.
