An adult reader
(Side note, I bought this for myself, not for a child. I collect 80s cartoon-related stuff.) Unlike "I Am He-Man!", this book had a story to tell. (He-Man basically copy/pasted the series theme dialogue and then briefly introduced the main characters.) It follows the pilot of the original cartoon series to tell how Adora became She-Ra. The artwork is gorgeous and it was nostalgic to revisit some of my favorite cartoon characters from the 1980s.

My kids have been watching the classic She-Ra cartoons, and this was the perfect purchase to tie-in watching the show. Glad to see She-Ra is coming back! Love the art and colors.

Three year old niece loves the book
Its a good story and very true to the origin from the cartoon. Highly recommend it for kids to be introduced to the original She-Ra and for those old fans from the 80's when the show was originally on.

Excellently written and illustrated!
My daughter loved it and immediately said it's her new "other favorite" along with the authors Captain Marvel book. If you loved this one, you should buy that one as well!
