Nice clips. Works well with DE-5000 LCR Meter.
The clips are a good size with a micro, serrated, gold-plated nose that grips well. Each clip has 2x 75 ohm mini coax leads (shield and conductor) -- one for each half of the jaws. I cut off the BNCs (as one does) and wired them into a TL-21 4-wire Kelvin adapter for my DE-5000 LCR meter. Used almost the whole length and the leads calibrated without a problem. The 2 leads from each clip are held together at intervals with shrink tubing which is a nice touch. Very satisfied.

Great price! Works great!
As a diagnostic and quality evaluation, I needed to measure coil resistance in drone motors. The only way to do this is, at minimum equipment, use of a 6-1/2 digit ohmmeter operating as a 4-wire probe device. External to that device must be an exotic technology to interconnect and repeatedly read values well below 1 ohm. Thus the 'Kelvin' leads. I could have fabricated a set but ran across these at unheard of price and 3-day delivery [prime]. The only thing I was worried about then was the alligator clip jaws and banana plug metal materials (the interconnecting surfaces). I was pleased to see they are gold-plated, albeit probably nano-thin electroplate. Better than brass or zinc (Tellurium copper would be best). These are nowhere near Fluke or Agilent, but gold plating is adequate even though it does not eliminate error contribution to the measurements and affords some level of immunity to oxidation. Anyway, I was able to null (zero) the measurement errors inherent in these probes and get readings of 0.02 ohms with a reasonable measurement uncertainty (about 0.004 Ohm).

Surprisingly solid kelvin clips.
As did many others, I purchased these to upgrade the T21 clips for me DE 5000 LCR. It was an easy modification that greatly increases the usability of the meter, They are nicely constructed and, once calibrated give accurate measurements. I have not done a complete side by side comparison with the short T21 clips but for the few test and quick comparisons I did make, they do not seem to add any error to the measurement. Repeat: Of course, they must be calibrated. The only con is the included BNC connectors, though they look nice are pretty low quality. In most uses that should not make much difference as they were well assembled. For my use I did not need them so I don't much care. I did save and may repurpose them, but not for anything critical. I would definitely recomend these to anyone looking for an inexpensive set of shielded kelvin clip test leads.

Functional, Decent for the Price
These Kelvin clips solved a pressing problem for me, so I'm glad they were available. The clips are fully functional and work well. My only issue to date is that the jaws have a tendency to misalign if not carefully positioned, and I expect that this might worsen over time, as other reviewers have suggested. For the price these seem to be a good value. If you need to use Kelvin clips day in and day out, however, consider getting something beefier.

Requires Modification for us on HP 4275A LCR Meter
Great for the price, but on the HP 4275A LCR Meter this cable set would not pass the Auto Zero for Open or Short. I'm sure this will be true for many high-end LCR meters. Both these zero calibrations are necessary for measurement accuracy. To fix, the shields on all leads (four) must be shorted together about 6" up from the clips (see picture). Using a razor blade to strip off about 1" of the outside black insulation on each lead, then apply liquid flux and solder the four lead shields together. To cover the workmanship i used the cover from a ferrite choke (ferrite bead halves removed)- also see picture. You could simply use tape to cover the exposed braid. Post modification it now passes zero calibrations. and you still have a 12" distance between the probe tips to measure across large components.

Perfect for DE-5000's TL-21
I tested each clip prior to installation and found no soldering issues or cross-connections. Passed open/shorted calibrations on first attempt, highly recommended.

Retrofit for TL-21 adaptor for the DER EE DE-5000 LCR meter
Was able to upgrade the simple alligator clips to these quite easily. SO NICE!!! NOTE OF CAUTION: The clips have a moveable part, and the body. Be sure to make the BODY of each the same polarity designation. I.E. 1+ 1- Gnd / 2+ 2- Gnd IF you make 1+ the body on one, the other should be 2+. If this doesn't make sense to you, sit back look at what is in the TL-21 and how when you cut off the BNC's you'll have a gnd and 2 other wires for each clip. Also MAKE CERTAIN you wire the RED clip to the POSITIVE side of the circuit board! Sounds simpleton, but... ;-)
